Left Wanting After The Never Ending Wait
by dukeloathing
Let me preface this by stating that I am not one to complain about mediocre to bad service. I just won't complain. I can understand if an order is incorrectly placed, if food takes a little longer than normal to come to the table, or if food is a little overcooked. These are non-issues to me.
That being said, I've been to this place 6 times. I live in the neighborhood and when sitting at work on a Friday after a long week of work nothing sounds better than beer and wings at the local pub. You arrive and give your name to the lone waitress who explains with a smile that it should be about 40 minutes. So you cozy up to the bar for a beer. About 30 minutes later your mouth begins watering at the thought of their delicious wings, just knowing that you'll be sitting down shortly to enjoy them. So you look up and see that the couple that came in immediately in front of you has been seated. It should be any minute now. Then you look up and see the waitress seating a group that you are pretty sure came in after you, but that wouldn't make sense. So you nod this off. Then after more time goes by you realize that more parties that came in well after you are being seated in front of you. So you politely ask the waitress (only to remind her that you are still there), where you stand in the queue. Though visibly agitated at your nerve to remind, she says "any minute now." You'll find yourself standing there as people that came in 45 minutes after you are sitting comfortably in their booths eating.
I wish this were a random phenomenon as I've tried hard to love this place. I've been here 6 times. This has occurred 4 times. The first night we waited 2 hours with a party of 4 until it seemed as though they had no option but to seat us. I thought it was waitress specific, but it's not.
Despite the above average wings and friendly bartender, I wouldn't recommend this local dive to anyone until they do something about the waitstaff.
- Pros: The Idea of this Place
- Cons: Getting A Table, Getting Service, Waitresses with a Chip on the Shoulder
Buff's Best Wings Ever- come to the Burb's!
by gconnors
Buff"s has the best wings I have ever tasted! The place is a bit cramped and it is a local watering hole but, that is part of it's charm. I would love if they came out my way. I have the perfect place to locate them if they ever want to grow their business and feed the burbs!
- Pros: best wings, need bigger spot to satisfy all their clients!
- Cons: crowded , limited seating, not enough servers

Can anyone say honey hots
by basketball34
I've been frequenting this place for the past 6 years and there are no complaints on this end. The wait on tables can be long come the end of the week or during Red Sox games, but it's worth the wait. The honey hots are a must and will leave you thinking about the next time you go. The price on food is reasonable and the wait staff are very attentive. All in all it's a can't miss.
- Pros: Honey Hots or any other wing you get
- Cons: A bit cramped
With its primo chicken wings and multiple TVs, this Newton Corner bar and grill serves as a dependable neighborhood hangout.

In Short
Sitting close to the Newton-Watertown border, Buff's serves as a meeting spot for numerous area residents. Fans of buffalo wings come to try Buff's acclaimed honey hot wings (served in full and half orders). Lunch and dinner menus include typical appetizers and sandwiches, plus a few carnivorous entrees (ribs, tips). Nothing on the menu tops $10, and beers are inexpensive as well. A large buffalo head and plenty of TVs provide additional atmosphere.
Wings are as good as the wings in Buffalo.

I miss the real wings from Buffalo (Frank & Teressa's and Duff's) and so often I'm disappointed in the wings I find around New England....but Buff's Pub has brought me back! The wings were fantastic and a Cuban chicken sandwich was the perfect compliment. Our waitress provided great attention and service was fast. I'll be back.
- Pros: Great Wings, easy parking, great service
In search of good wings
by gastrognome
Being a wing aficionado, I have been looking for a good wings place in the suburbs; east of Framingham and West of Boston.
Needless to say, I had one sitting right in my backyard. Granted the owner isn't very friendly, and there isnt much seating, the buffalo wings more than make up for it. I wouldn't recommend their sandwiches though, as they are like a poor relation to the wings.
- Pros: Wings, location
- Cons: parking, rest of menu
Great wings
