Very disappointing massage experience.

I do not regularly visit spas or have massages, but was looking to relax and release some of the tension in my back. I was very much looking forward to Rosaline's, given the positive reviews and proximity of the spa to where I live. Needless to say I was highly disappointed from the very beginning.

To start, the place/massage room was not what i expected from a top of the line spa,but I could have let this go had the experience been top of the line. The room was OK, but had a loud fan running which was distracting. The music wasn't exactly what I would have expected, not the soothing spa tunes type. My main gripe, though, is the massage therapist (I wish I recalled her name). From the beginning of the treatment I was made to feel very uncomfortable. As my back is very tight, I was a little tense and jumpy at first as she applied pressure. Rather than trying to adjust to make me comfortable, she repeatedly laughed at me saying "I don't know what to do, I use pressure and you squirm and I go lighter and you laugh!" and continued to laugh at my discomfort rather than adjusting. I had one particularly sore muscle that she kept going after, despite my obvious discomfort and the pain that this was causing me. Today (my treatment was yesterday) my muscles are extremely sort to the touch. I know one could expect some soreness, but I literally feel worse than when I went in. If this wasn't enough, she then began to ask about what I have done to caused me to have such knots in my back as if this was my choosing. All in all, I can honestly say that I did not relax for one of the 60 minutes of my massage. Overall, it was just not the experience I expected from a well rated spa and for the price that I paid. I can't speak to the quality of the other services, but would not recommend massage at this place, and will definitely be heading to Newbury st next time and sorely regret that I didn't yesterday.

Great massage and facial

I needed to get rid of all the stress the economy has caused, so I treated myself to a massage and facial at Rosaline's. I had been there a few years before, and I couldn't think of a better place to go to unwind. Nothing has changed except the decor, and I mean that in the most postiive way!! The facial and massage were both top-notch, as usual. The staff, especially Rosaline herself, were so professional, welcoming, and soothing. The Spa was as clean and as comfortable as I remembered. I will never stay away as long again! Definitely the best stress reliever ever!!!

Wonderful care and relaxation!

I have been going to Rosaline's for years, and the experience just gets better with time!! Rosaline is so knowledgeable about skin care and skin problems. I always learn something new from her. I wouldn't trust my complexion with anyone else! On top of all that, she is a very interesting and fun person to talk with. I always look forward to my visits.

best services in the brookline area-- from head to toe!!

So went to Rosalines for the first time as i had received a gift card from my girlfriend on my birthday.

OUTSTANDING facial and massage! I went for a facial and massage and enjoyed every second of it.

Beautiful atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff, excellent treatments and products (I bought a cleanser and moisturizer and love them both).

I am so glad for that gift card as i have found a place i can keep going to for the best spa treatments ever.

Can't wait for my next appointment to feel revitalized again!!

GREAT PLACE FOR A FACIAL TREATMENT

A friend of mine recommmended Rosaline's for a facial. I was in town visiting my family for thanksgiving and just needed to treat myself. I have been getting facials for years and I am very loyal to my Esthetician in Washington, so I really did know what to expect. However, I had the pleasure of having Rosaline's herself and what a treat it was to have a treatment from her. This woman knows her stuff and spent a few minutes analyzing my skin and suggested a teatment that made my skin look vibrant.

I have always been nervous about peels, but she did a lactic peel facial because my skin looked dull and it just did wonders for my skin. The ambiance is just lovely, clean and very relaxing. A true oasis. I would highly recommend her if you are looking for a new experience

ONE OF A KIND! -- MUST VISIT!

I have been a regular at Rosaline's for a few years now, but it was a pleasant surprize to walk into a whole new setup the other day... As you enter, cool cucumber green walls instanting calm your nerves and creating an ambience that's holistic, natural and revitalizing. Just what you need when you walk into a spa from the busy sidewalks buzzing with all that noise.

The difference at Rosaline's is that you made to feel so special, pampered each and every time, something that is rare to find at most spas.

Beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent treatments and products.. Every visit has been delightful

at Rosalines.

I would highly recommend anyone in need of a relaxing afternoon to go down there and try out one of her many spa packages!

Facial worked Wonders

I recommend Rosaline's spa for it's facials. Though it could've had a more relaxing atmosphere the facial did reduce the acne on my face immensely. I would continue to use this spa for it's facials.

wonderful services

I went to Rosaline's several years ago, then I left town and I am back living in Boston. I went to see Rosalines and was surprised that after all these years, not only has she kept the spa up-dated and beautiful, but her services have also improved.

I have always enjoyed her services and Rosaline herself is a great person and lots of fun to talk to. My skin looks beautiful, and I would highly recommend her spa.

Fantastic Facials

I have sensitive skin and was reluctant to try and new place for facials. But what can you do when you move to a new city? I decided to give Rosaline's a try because she was located just down the street from me. I tried the basic facial with Rebekah. It was wonderful. I loved the products - they were gentle and not too fragrant. The facial massage was wonderfully relaxing. Rosaline herself was very warm and welcoming. After my facial she did some waxing for me and I though she did a very nice job. So overall, I think that Rosaline's offers a great value and service to her clients. I'll definitely come back.

• Pros: Great facials and products, great price on waxing, in the neighborhood
• Cons: The street is a little bit loud but that's about it

Excellent Waxings

I've been going to Rosaline's for over three years, and I love it! She's very friendly. Great workers there. I normally have sensitive skin, and their wax doesn't bother me at all. This is why I love Rosaline's :)
