- Cons: no Anna's in Waltham
Best Burritos on Earth
by drfu
The mecca of mission-style burritos. There can be arguments made from those that prefer their burritos grilled, greasy, or generally more in the SoCal style.
But make no mistake. In terms of mission-style burritos, Anna's is king. If this place came west, LA would be a sunnier place.
- Pros: Best burritos on earth
- Cons: Only in Boston
Popular local chain sells straightforward, overstuffed burritos and quesadillas, served fast and cheap.
by Eric Grossman
The Scene
With a lack of other bargain dining options in the area, this fast food Mexican chain enjoys an amazing volume of customers--but, of Anna's four locations, it's the quietest, the location not as high-profile as the others. You have a good chance of landing a seat among the studenty crowd; service is friendly and competent, but less so when the line's out the door.
The Food
Anna's limited menu includes hefty burritos, gooey quesadillas and over-stuffed tacos; all are meals in themselves. The super burritos feature a choice of grilled chicken, tender pork carnitas, moist steak or grilled vegetables with rice, beans, cheese, salsa and hot sauce inside a giant flour tortilla. Weighing in well over a pound and costing around $4, this is one of the city's best bargains. The house salsa, chilled and cilantro-heavy, goes great with crunchy, warm tortilla chips.
Best burrito in Boston

Anna's serves up what I consider to be the best made burrito in Boston. I have been visiting the place regularly for about two years now and have rarely been disappointed with my order. The staff can be pushy at times, even when there is no one in line. They never fail, however, to load their burritos up with enough rice, meat, and toppings to keep me full for a while. The chicken has always been tender, something I can't say about Boca Grande's chicken down the street. A few months ago I was shocked to find that their prices went up. I still manage to get a burrito, chips, and guacamole for under $9--a good deal in my book.
- Pros: Loaded burritos, solid guacamole
- Cons: Pushy staff, restaurant interior could use some work
Gross and Uncomfortable

Food was disgusting and not worth the price. The ambiance was also uncomfortable. Not an enjoyable place to be in the slightest.
- Pros: Nothing.
Love the Tortilla, BEST BURRITO & great deal!!!
by novee16
I never like any Mexican food until I tried the wrap at Anna! I simply love the chewy and tasty tortilla skin... Plus, the reasonable amount of rice and meat.
Since it is quite hard to rate a simple dish like a wrap, I'm going to compare Anna's wrap with a few others I have tried.
Unlike Boca's burrito, Anna's burrito is a little smaller BUT it has more meat than Boca's burrito... Plus, Boca's burrito has way too much rice relative to the meat. It explains why it's a few cents cheaper (if you just wanna get full, go to Boca).
Honestly, I prefer Felipe's meat filling (steak in particular) because it's more tender than Anna's steak... but Felipe's tortilla is rather tasteless and it's not as chewy. Furthermore, Felipe's service is rather slow compared to Anna's and Boca's.
*TIPS: Sometimes the burrito-maker "breaks" my burrito because the steak is too wet... if you want a nice burrito with no "hole", order the drier pork filling... but if you wanna go for taste, go for steak burrito!
yumm
*WARNING 1: If you don't like greasy food, avoid the Quessadilla. You can't taste anything other than the oil!
*WARNING 2: Anna's Burrito is addictive!!!
- Pros: Great Value, Tasty Chewy Tortilla (Burrito) and Super Quick Service
- Cons: It's always full (seating might be a problem during peak hr), Your clothes will smell afterwards
STILL THE BEST

Anna's is, and has long been the best place in Boston to get a Burrito. Compares favorably to the top spots in San Fran, which has the best burrito's in the world. Because Anna's is so popular - you're bound to have some voices of dissent....but trust me, much better than every other place, and it's not even really close. El Pelon is so so...same with Boca...Viva, QDoba, Baja are awful. Mexican Plate with Carnitas is a better entree than you'll get at most mid to upper mid level restaurants in the city. Quesidillas are also delicious.
- Pros: Best Burrito, Hands Down!
Quesadillas are delicious!!
by bigredphantom
My favorite Mexican fast food restaurant in Boston! Great values on everything. Burritos are average but the quesadillas are absolutely delicious. Not your typical quesadilla, it is wrapped up like a burrito but is slightly fried on the outside. If I'm hungry, I usually get two (one chicken and one steak). There are some long lines at times, but it moves incredibly quick.
Best Burritio in Boston
by davidakido
Anna's is it. Best burrito in town or farther. get the super quesidilla as a burrito (so that wrap is buttered and toasted) SO GOOD!. At $4 for it's also a very inexpensive burrito that is big enough to satisfy. The chips and salsa are a good add on for $2, I think. Argueably, Harvard St. is the better location, just because of seating, quality is good at all Anna's locations. Worth the trip.
- Pros: Flavor of food, price, seating
- Cons: they don't deliver
