I made a last minute order with them and they were perfectly accomodating and extremely friendly. The arrangement was beautiful, well-designed, and had very high quality flowers. My friend was so pleased with her flowers. I'll never order from anywhere else!

We wanted to send roses to our daughter on opening night of a musical at BU student union. I was greeted on the phone politely and assured that the flowers would be delivered with our wishes. That night after the show our daughter phoned to thank us and say how thrilled she was to get the roses and how beautiful they were. Thank you Boston City Florist.

I just stopped in here today to make an early valentine's day order for a friend back home. The shop is adorable, and they were really helpful about setting up an out of state delivery. The staff are all nice and it smells great. And I don't know what some of the other reviewers meant about rude management, the owner/manager was perfectly polite to me.

Pros: great service and prices, smells great

Cons: none?

Whenever I need something either simple or elaborate for my girlfriend I come here. There's a wonderful selection of flowers and greens, and they definately know their stuff. Its reasonably priced, and thats on my student income. I love their roses!

Pros: location, selection

Cons: minium delivery orders

I called and asked if they would do something somewhat small and out of the ordinary, mentioned that I would still tip the driver as if they were delivering $50 worth of flowers, they said it would be no problem. I got transferred over to a man with an accent, who was fine at first, but when I explained my plan to him, he flipped out, saying things like "I don't need your $20 worth of business." (I guess business is sooooo great and you aren't able to go a block or 2 down the road for a small delivery) I told him he was being rude and possibly called him an a**hole, thats when he got raunchy and told me to perform obscure sexual acts on him... I'm sure you can imagine. He also wanted me to go to his shop and fight him. WOW, I just wanted to do something special for my girlfriend.. thanks but no thanks Boston City Flower. If they didn't want to entertain my idea, then they should have told me nicely in the first place. My thought is that this man obviously cannot handle customers, and if you ask for something a bit out of the box, be ready to get chewed out.

Pros: They must have tons of business, enough to rudely turn some down

Cons: Terrible customer service

I'm pretty new to Boston so I don't know much about the city--except for a great place to buy flowers! I was just walking along Commonwealth Ave and saw this cute little shop--what a convienent location!-- and I thought I would go in to get something to make my new apartment seem more cheerful. Boy, was I overwhelmed with the selection. There were all kinds of great flowers everywhere, along with neat plants and potted flowers as well. I wouldn't have known what to do if it wasn't for the friendly and helpful employees. I ended up leaving with a pretty big flowering plant that promises to rebloom. Even though I didn't buy flowers this time I'm sure to go back pretty soon and visit this great little shop.

Pros: Location and service.

I recently went to Boston City Florist to buy a bouquet for my daugher (who had just had a baby! yay!) and I must say that I had an excellent experience there. The shop had an impressive selection of flowers, plants and little extras like balloons. I had such a fun time picking out things as the friendly staff assisted me with putting together a pretty arrangement. I don't know much about flowers but the staff certainly did, and they were really helpful in creating something for my daughter that really looked impressive. I would absolutely shop there again for my next special occasion, or even on an ordinary day where I just need some beautiful flowers to brighten up my life!

Pros: Selection, atmosphere

Cons: Construction out front

As a florist I do not recommend this Flower Shop, because of the lack of Customer Service. I talked to a gentleman (don't really want to call him that!) whom identified himself as the manager with an accent. I then proceeded to tell him the order and I was spelling out the name of the Hospital and he said "I know where that's at" (snotty) I said "ok" then proceeded to tell him the address...."I know" (snotty) I cannot believe he said that again! He was so rude! I then told him he does not have to be rude and he told me I was crazy and to shove the order up my &%@!!! What a great experience that was. So I hope the owner of this flower shop reads this and sends his manager to an Anger Management Class with Customer Service Skills.

Pros: None

Cons: Customer Service

A friend wanted to send some flowers to thank me for something I had made for him, and I suggested something potted. What arrived, delivered by a man reeking of cigarettes, was a hideous ceramic container containing a few sprouts of green leaves (with the most insubstantial roots you've ever seen) that you would find at your local green grocer for $4. I very nearly told my friend but decided to thank him and that was that. But the whole thing was in the trash about five minutes after the man left. I have no idea how this place can possibly stay in business, though maybe this is their way of handling customers calling from out of town. I would advise that you never do business with them unless you can see what you're paying for.

This flower shop has a very convenient location. Staff is friendly, and there is always a nice flower to pick up for my special someone. I use them for every occasion and never had any problems! Prices are very reasonable for the Boston area, too. Highly recommend this shop for anyone that needs flowers!
