User Reviews for Fenway Park

For members of Sox Nation, as far as sports-watching experiences go, arguably nothing could compare to actually being able to see the team live in this historic green monster of a ballpark surrounded by thousands of other Sox-crazed fans. The beer is expensive, the seats aren’t always comfy and not all views of the game are great (especially from the outfield), but Fenway is home for Sox fans and nothing can match the electricity of being at the ballpark on game day… especially when the Yankees are in town.

We attended the May 20, 2008 game at Fenway. We always park in the lot closest to the park (at the end of Yawkey Way), and have never had a problem. However, this time the parking lot attendant waved us in, yet wouldn't take our cash (even though we had our arm out the window with cash in hand as we pulled in), and all he said was "you need a permit" but he waved us in. He then turned his back to us and approached the driver of the car behind us, and we had nowhere to go, but straight ahead into the lot. After parking, we approached him to try to pay him again, but he now said (for the first time), you have to move your car or you'll be towed. I was with a 5-year old who wears orthopedic braces and has difficulty walking and asked him where else we might park, and he ignored us several times, then started shouting "I'm busy, I'm busy, can' you see I'm busy - I have work to do". He appeared to be very stressed out and irritated and treated many patrons rudely. We tried to talk to him several times, but he kept ignoring us (all the while continuing to yell at other patrons who were trying to park). He eventrually extened his hand and said "Just pay me $30 and then move your car to another spot), which we did, but his attitude was way out of line. Don't know if he is a subcontractor who works at the lot or if he is affiliated with the Sox of Fenway in any way, but this man should definitely NOT be the first contact that fans have when they arrive at friendly Fenway. A Fenway or Sox administrator should casually hang around that area prior to the next game, and they will assuredly witness firsthand what I'm talking about and witness his extremely rude behavior.

Pros: great park; great fans

Cons: extremely rude parking attendant

I like Fenway but the people that worked there were entirely out of line and made me embaressed to be a red sox fan. I was refused service and refused help, and was robbed by actual employees which made me regret the entire experience. To make matters worse I spent 20 minutes trying to find a way to contact fenway park making the entire experience that much worse. Now, I have to spend my Monday I usually spend working, trying to replace my stolen ATM card that was taken by an employee. I suggest you find better ways of serving Fenway costumers.

Pros: games are awesome

Cons: employess not trained properly to deal with customers

Prices are about average. View from the front seats are awesome. Nice friendly family atmosphere. I would recommend this venue on almost every area except parking. But I recently found a way rounf that using www.parklet.co.uk who rent out parking spaces nearby.

Talk about your classic ballparks, Fenway is one of the best classic ballparks still standing in the country today. You got the green monster, very dedicated Red Sox nation, some seats along the third base line that's been there since Fenway opened, and the good ballpark food. This is the most Authentic Ball park left. Unfortunately, while the park is authentic the parking is archaic. The easiest way to find a spot is, www.parkatmyhouse com. just search around fenway. There are lots of driveways available for cheap rental during game time. It beats paying the exorbitant garage rates, and/or walking from a distant lot. I would highly recommend this park to any baseball fan.

Pros: best park

Cons: worst parking, there are good alternatives to this

Fenway Park, Need I say more? Anyone who can say 1 bad thing about fenway park needs to find a life! Fenway is the oldest park around, and by far one of the toughest! If you think we should get rid of Fenway. Get Out Of New England! From the Fenway Frank to the Green Monster, Fenway Park is one of the greatest ballparks in the world!

Pros: Everything

Cons: High ticket pricing

let me start out by saying i LOVE the red sox, but fenway park is a joke!! forget this nostalga stuff (i guess all you fenway lovers like to sit in front of your old time mono radio and listen to the games instead of your wide screen hi def tv, and of course you take your horse and buggy to the game!) lets get real! it is way too small , very very uncomfortable ,horrible food , and the prices for every thing are just outragious!! , it is cheaper to fly down to baltimore and stay at a hotel and get great seats at camden yards(now thats a ballpark!!) than it is to go to a game at fenway with dredfull obstucted view seats! i live less than 15 miles away from fenway and i would rather stay home and watch the sox on tv even if i got the tickets for free!! NOT worth the parking nightmare or the uncomfortable overcrowded seats

Pros: historic place

Cons: everything else!!!

Fenway is a classic old stadium --one word... character-it brings you back to the days of old when people where smaller and life was simpler.. The Food is average --stick to hotdogs and sausage --do not go with anything else-- The tap beer (bud light) will stay with you for 2 days --the bathrooms are tight and the people rude. With the new management the team and the city have gone totally corporate.. do not be conned into thinking this is an small market town team --they are not -look at the dunkin donuts signs on every wall (some in Japanese) and you will see for yourself..If your looking for a good time go when they are playing a bad team --ie the DRAYS or the Royals.. You will hear less of the trash that has become the norm and has made this Place a terrible family event.. The other thing is the ticket prices which have become outrageous.

Pros: character -history-classic lines-watching manny in left

Cons: price, parking, people, tap beer, seats
