RUDE AND UNETHICAL MANAGEMENT

I was invited to a birthday party in the vip section at the club on Sat 8/15. I arrived about 10pm and talked with guests of the party for at the most 1/2 hour. I was not drunk nor did I even get to have a drink there. I realized I didn't have my money and went out to my car in the parking lot. The door manager watched me walk out and said nothing. When I came back around 15 min later I was told I could not go back in you were not allowed back once you left. Its understandable that they have certain policies. There were no signs anywhere,the host was never told this and no one mentioned it when I walked out the door. When the doorman told me I couldnt come back I asked if there were signs anywhere and explained I had no idea. I was told to step out of line and leave, I then asked for the manager and was told he was the manager, if you dont leave your whole party will be thrown out (they already had the money) This place is a disgrace! They were greedily taking everyone's money walking through the door but yet dont have the courtsey to make people aware of their polocies

Not worth the money!!

I haven't been to the beach clucb in years. I was not happy to go there Saturday but once we go in and ordered a few drinks it wasn't bad. Until I ordered my second drink and the bar tender decided to change the price?? I ordered a mix drink which cost 7 dollars the first time the second time I ordered two mixed drinks and he charged me 17???? Then I went into the bathroom it was completly disgusting! The smell was so gross, the water was brown and most of the toilets were clogged!! I canot understand how they can charge so much money to get in and the place isnt even clean! I will say he DJ was very good!

Ahh the Perfect Friday Night

Went over to Marina Bay last Friday night. Can you say $4 beers? Not too shabby at all. Throw in some sweet live music and a summer sunset and you got yourself a good time.

• Pros: reasonably priced drinks, live music, great setting
• Cons: none that I noticed

Feels Like Home

Coming from Miami to Boston, this place is the utmost reminder of club life back home. What made it even better was the fact that I got to experience it with PAUL VAN DYK playing. The packed crowd was feeling the beat of the music. It was an awesome dance fest alongside with some good drinks. There was no con to the night. I wish I had been able to experience more nights like this!

Must say I'm impressed with Marina Bay. The people there were friendly and helpful, a pleasant surprise from the people back home. Further, this place has an array of fun activities. Not only can you dance and drink, but you can also play pool and volleyball. I mean what more could one ask for?

There is something for everything and this why I think that everyone should come and experience it.

• Pros: Dancing the Night away with good drinks and amazing friends.

Management was rude, The place was a dump, and people were having intercourse every where. It was disgusting

Emails were sent back and forth with Emily of customer serivce explaining that for our bathelorette party of 24 would NOT pay a cover charge and there were goning to be additional perks. We arrived to find we had to pay the cover charge. When speaking with the general manager he thought it was nice enough of him to drop it to 10$. We provided the emails explaining there was no cover charge for us but, he refused to take that into account. He finnaly said for all of us he would accept 150 dollars for the group. In an ourrage I proceeded to the main line asking all the girls if they'd like to pay 10 instead of the 20 if they came in with our group so we ended up having about 8 extra girls come in and had the 150$ covered. Screw them right! When we finally got in the venue we waiting for about 20 minutes to get drinks from the incredibly rude bar tenders. At that point we were completly disgusted and disapointed with the place. Skeezy old men trying to rub the junk all over you and it was not an enjoyable night out. Sad to say our bathcelorette did not have the best last night of freedom. I will never go back to the Marina Bay Beach Club. and to think they make Sunday night Labor day weekend outto be the biggest night of the year... If that was the best they have...I dont ever wanna see it on a regular fri or sat night. To all those planning a big event out with friends. Think again before picking this rediculous establishment.

Can't get to the beach? This breezy, casual Marina Bay hangout (formerly known as WaterWorks) is the next best thing.

This outdoor club on the edge of Marina Bay offers a gorgeous view of the Boston skyline. The 60,000-square-foot space feels like a tropical paradise on warm summer nights (it features the only palm tree grove in New England). Imported palm trees and beach sand create a volleyball court in the center of the action. Surrounding the court are tents, one featuring a bar and another with billiards. The dress code is primarily shorts and T-shirts. A large stage hosts cover bands, with an expansive dance floor resembling a parking lot; its hugeness allows it to seldom feel crowded. The club serves traditional barbecue favorites, along with luau cuisine such as smoked pig. There's also a 140-seat oyster bar that serves seafood and pasta. On a fun night, it can feel like a Jimmy Buffet concert with better food and more room to dance.

Most Overrated Sunday Spot

This place is totally overrated. Tacky, cheesy, and overpriced. The pool tables didn't put out all the poolballs, the cigarette machines were "tempermental", and at $7 (or was it $9?) it ate my money. Then, when I finally got the OTHER machine to work, the bar doesn't have any matches and they don't sell lighters. What a waste!

Drinks were watered down. Can I please have a LITTLE alcohol in my mixed drink? I'm all set with paying $8 for a diet coke. Beers run $5 or $7 for a cheap budweiser bottle. I can't remember the exact price, all I know is that I came home with an empty wallet.

We got there at 7:30 to avoid the ridiculous $20 cover only to find out that there was, in fact, a $20 cover at any time according to "manager's discretion"... The door staff was really rude and we felt cheated once we got in to see that there was NO ONE there at that time. People were fighting outside and cars were getting towed left and right in the parking lot. I was concerned about the safety of the general area due to the rowdiness outside.

The bartenders were rude, too. No napkins at the bar, no class at all. Oh, and the bathrooms were out of toilet paper at one point. What a waste of time and money. We will not be going back there next year or EVER. This place is NOT the place to be on a Sunday.

• Pros: I can't think of any. Maybe the fact that it's closed for the rest of the year?

dance the night away

i was there july 3rd which was a tuesday. apparently no one knew it was open, because its not normally open on tuesdays, so the crowd wasn't that large, but i went with a group of people and we had a great time. i didn't care for the outrageously priced drinks, but the music they played made up for it. good time!

cool when CROWDED

this place is fun. laborday weekend was OUT OF CONTROLL! to bad its only open in the summer. tents every where and dirt floors kinda feels like a fair or something, wouldnt really call it a club even though there is lots of dancin.

I've been to Waterworks a few times and everytime the only consistant thing there is the Meatheads that hang there. The only place around town you can still find guys w/ Mr. T starter kits and Mullets!! Good variety of age groups but watch out girls,playa city!! If your looking for someone who still thinks it's cool to have an Iroc...head on over, you'll find love in no time at all!!!
