The staff at Fi-Dough treat my pug so well you'd think that he was paying the bill! As soon as we enter the shop, my dog makes a bee-line for the grooming room. It's a thoroughly enjoyable experience for him, and we feel very confident that he's in expert hands. I highly recommend Fi-Dough for their professional grooming and their caring and informed treatment of all dog breeds. They also offer a nice selection of seasonal dog treats, food, collars, toys, etc. And it's easy to park in front of the shop, even on Saturdays.

Pros: Good looking shop and conveniently located.

I brought my pug in this morning to have her shaved, and the groomer went completely bananas. Although I had said when I made the appointment that I wanted her shaved, when I reminded him he began yelling and berating me, saying it's cruel and he refused to do it. Now, I've never had her shaved before and don't know much about it, so naturally, I asked him why. He continued to scream that it was cruel and he didn't even want me in the store. I was flabbergasted. I pointed out that lots of dogs get shaved, and then he conceded that it's okay for long haired dogs but not short haired ones. I asked why that is, and he actually said he didn't "need to tell me why"! I thought that if I remained calm and reasonable it might help diffuse the situation, so I said all I wanted to know was why I shouldn't have her shaved. But the histrionics continued. So I left. Addendum: I have since looked up online the concerns about shaving short-haired pets, and have decided not to do it. If the groomer had only told me WHY instead of becoming hysterical, I could have made an informed decision there and then. Talk about unprofessional - not to mention completely bizarre.

Pros: Some cute toys

Cons: The CRAZY
