Great Eyewear Selection. I have been looking EVERYWHERE for a great selection of eye glasses that fit my style and budget. Convienently located in Harvard Sq. Harvard Sq. Eye Care has great staff, and a wide variety of beautifully crafted frames for great prices. They have eyeglasses made from Lindgerg to Zimco.Once again, I cant express enough how affordable the lenses and frames were. I got two pair of dymanic glasses for a low price.I would recommend Harvard Sq. Eye Care to everyone.…
Quite the class act!. I have had such a wonderful experience at the Harvard Square Office. I have been going there for over two years now and Dr. Dickerman is the only one who has been able to get my prescription right, unlike when I was a patient at Mass General Eye Care. From the minute you walk in and see Mary’s warm smile to the time you walk out is a very pleasant experience. The staff’s care and professionalism is remarkable. I was in the office just today because I dropped my glasses and the lens popped out. Within just a few minutes they were fixed and I was ready to go! Harvard Square Eye Care has proven to be definitely a class act!…
give these guys a try.
Really great eyeglass frames! Without-a-doubt the best experience I have had with an eye care office. I originally went to Harvard Square Eye Care because they take my VSP insurance. They are the
only one's in the square who take VSP and I work near there. I was happy with the exam that Dr. Ip provided. She took the time to know exactly what I needed for a prescription. It was the first time someone took the time to actually try out the prescription on me and I really appreciated her doing that.
The eyeglass stylists helped allot when it came to choosing a frame. There were allot of really great eyeglass frames to choose from. I was surprised at all the quality of choices. I found quite a few that looked well on me. It is apparent that someone is choosing frames very selectively. Give these guys a try.…
you should go. I highly recommend Harvard Square Eye Care. I was walking by the window and noticed the Best of Boston sign. I needed a small repair on my glasses and ended up getting my pair fixed and buying a new pair because of their wide and stylish selection. They were very helpful, friendly and I'm definitely going to be a repeat customer. It's nice to visit a business with such a warm and personal approach to their clients. Even the doctor came out to say hello as she was in between patients to give me her quick opinion on my eye condition. I'm considering switching my care to her practice I was so impressed with her and her staff. Definitely give Harvard Square a try. Great location and personal service.…
best exam ever. This is honestly the best eye care experience I have ever had. I went in because I saw their huge selection on the website. It turns out my prescription is 3 years old and no longer valid. I got a full exam and with my insurance ended up paying $10 for an exam. But the part that blew me way was their willingness to help me right then and there. Once we discovered my prescription wasn't valid they told me to go have a cup of coffee and they would squeeze me into the booked schedule in 20 minutes. I was floored. The exam was the most in depth vision test I have ever done. Once the exam was over I was brought out front and offered help by an optician to pick glasses. The selection here is fantastic. Tons of unique frames I have never seen anywhere else. Believe me I have looked. While looking the gentleman helping me(Clark) noticed the nose-pad on my own pair needed replacing. Before I knew it he had my glasses and was back with a new nose-pad for me. I was in a rush that day and couldn't shop for frames. I also wanted to bring my girlfriend back to help me decide. When I told him this I expected him to become curt and disinterested in helping me. That was not the case. He said he would write down the frames I had picked out in a book that way if I decided to come back there would be a record. I asked how much I owed for the repair and he refused to let me pay. 1 week later I came back with my girlfriend and I picked a frame I never would have chosen on my own but looks amazing. When we were done I was told in 2-3 days I would have new glasses. 2 hours later I was called to come and pick up my completed order. WHAT!? It turns out Clark had to make a trip to the lab in porter square that afternoon on unrelated business. The glasses were completed while he was there. I work across the street and had new glasses back the same day! I have never been more impressed with a purchase like this in my life.…
One Happy Customer. I have never bothered to write a positive feedback letter like this, but my experience at Harvard Square Eye Care was so exceptional that I wanted to let you know how wonderful it was. I started wearing glasses when I was 7 years old, and was teased by my classmates because they said I looked nerdy. So I could not wait to get out of glasses, and when soft contact lenses appeared on the scene, when I was 25, I immediately switched to them. But they are a lot of work, and I have dry eyes, so I started again looking for glasses frames that looked good on me. 32 years later, I have 32 years worth of purchased and then discarded (because they did not look good) glasses behind me. I discovered Harvard Square Eye Care by googling glasses and Best of Boston, so I made the trek over there (from MIT, where I work), walked in, and announced to Clark Goodwin that I was probably on a mission impossible. But Clark immediately showed me some frames that he knew would look good on me, and he patiently customized the lenses so that they were as lightweight as possible (condensed glass), the right shape for my face, and would optimize my vision from very near vision to distance vision. Clark is awesome, very attentive, very upbeat, very good at explaining the technicalities of my customized glasses. I purchased the glasses and picked them up last week. They are amazing! Clark was right on; I look even better with glasses than without now. And my vision, compared to that with my contact lenses, is exceptional. No more reading glasses :-) These glasses are not going to be discarded -- the first pair I' have kept in 32 years. Harvard Square Eye Care stands out for the variety of quality options that one has for eyeglasses, but all the inventory in the world isn't going to make any difference if the service is poor. Clark gave perfect service; it could not have been better. Best of all, he eliminated the tension that I always feel when I shop for eyeglasses. Clark is a treasure; you need to know that. Keep him; he will keep me coming back again and again, as I look at sunglasses and other options available to me to supplement my eyeglasses.…
Excellent Service and great frame selection. I was really happy with the choice of eyeglass frames. Clark and Alene, the eyeglass specialists were really honest about what looked good on me. I was choosing between two frames and they actually got me to purchase the less expensive frame than the one I would have chosen. The doctor was great especially helping me find the most comfortable contacts. I wouldl highly recommend this place because they really care.…
Horrible experience. The doctor was fabulous, my exam went quite well. But do not even attempt to buy glasses from this place! The salesman was snooty, insulted my current glasses on several occasions, refused to tell me the prices of the frames I was looking at ("don't worry about the price, they are all within $25 of each other", when in fact there was a couple hundred dollars of difference). When I finally got him to sit down and calculate the price, he gave me a ridiculous number. When I asked him to break it down for me (ie, cost of frames, cost of lens, cost of protective coating) he got super defensive, pulling out a cost sheet and actually raising his voice at me. I actually had to tell him to stop for a second, that I think he misunderstood me somewhere along the way, and that all I had asked for was a breakdown of the pricing for that particular pair of glasses. He still refused, so I left.…
Great selection and fantastic service. This place is fantastic! I searched over ten other shops and none of them had the selection of designer frames that this place does. Gret selection and service.
I never knew.
I live on the south shore but was in the Harvard Square area on business. My business meeting was delayed three hours (don't ask) so I walked around and realized that I hadn't had my eyes checked in
over four years. I looked in various shops in the area but never got a good feeling regarding staff and selection. I was about to skip it and get something to eat when I found Harvard Square Eye Care.
I was greeted by a lovely women who told me the Dr had a slot 30 minutes from now.... so I made the appointment got some lunch and came back. The Dr that examined me did the most complete exam I ever had. Very professionally and caring. She explained everything (I mean like no other Dr had.) Amazing service and really cared.
After my exam I wasn't planning on purchasing new glasses but with my new prescription I figured it was time to update by 4+ year old glasses. Wow what an amazing selection. The hardest thing was deciding which pair to get as I had three that I loved. The optician helped me out and explained that they had an in-house lab and could have it quickly. I wasn't in much of rush but did have another meeting tomorrow. I was promised that it would be ready first thing next morning.
The next day I showed up, picked up my glasses which fit very nicely and was on my way to my meeting (now on time) and get so much better with my new glasses.
I never knew that an eye glass office could be so efficient and provide such service. I will probably stop by on a Saturday with my family and have them get an exam as well. Highly recommend.…
