The best florist in the entire Boston area; .

Best florist in the entire Boston area....discovered when I was at Harvard...I now call in from New York for deliveries to my elder mother in Boston....always polite,. timely deliveries. and absolutely gorgeous arrangements...I've used other florists in Boston...but no one compares to Brattle....they are consistent and generous and creative ....I am always asked "where did you get those beautiful flowers"....and I will continue to use them .....

Bad customer service

I called for a quote on a dozen flowers for delivery, but the amount of flowers that were delivered was different then what I was quoted so I called to talk to the person in charge and she said that the person that gave me the quote was a temp. employee and that the quote was incorrect. I told her that you should make sure that whomever is answering your phone should make sure that they are giving the correct quote to customers.

Best Florist I've found north of the Charles

I always seem to get a good b@ng for my buck at Brattle Square Florist.

Consistently good customer service, always timely deliveries and, of course, gorgeous flowers.

And, somehow, more beautiful, longer lasting flowers than can be bought for similar prices in Somerville and Cambridge.

(who knew you couldn't use that word?!)

Beautiful flowers, and I like the service

I agree that Brattle Square has great flowers.

I've also always enjoyed going there -- the people I've dealt with really enjoy flowers, and have been helpful without being overbearing. Once, I went with my daughters -- then 7 and 11 years old -- and the staff there was patient and encouraging as they selected flowers.

My parents ordered flowers over the phone, and Brattle put together a beautiful arrangement when my wife was in the hospital. There was a great variety of color and texture, and it lasted a couple of weeks, as we pulled out the more delicate stuff that faded first.

Anyway, I don't have any reservations about Brattle Square Florist.

Huge Variety, Locally Owned

After both good and poor experiences with this shop I pause to think that despite any "misses" I continue to come back for more. Yes, I have had a few experiences with flowers lasting not at long as I would have liked but I have also experienced fresh cut flowers from here lasting more than a week. On my most recent visit the staff took the time to explain how to properly cut the variety I chose to ensure I would get the most from them. This is something that I have not found in many other florists.

The staff here is very busy at times and that should not be confused with bad service.

There is always a huge assortment of flowers to choose from...a refreshing escape from the standard rose, carnation & tulip only assortments in most other shops.

If you are confident assembling your own arrangement and don't need to rely on the staff for help just dive right in and start pulling out what you would like. I don't recommend phone orders from this shop as I have placed an order and received something else entirely.

Bad attitude!

I went there because I thought they had a good reputation, but the woman who "helped" us was sour and nasty. I went to ask about bouquets for my wedding and maybe someone else there would have been just delightful, but this woman was completely uninterested. She was rude and condescending and we only spent 5 minutes with her! I'm happily taking my wedding dollars elsewhere. I'm pretty laid back and am not easily insulted, but my friend and I couldn't believe this woman's attitude! Just plain nasty!
