Poor service!
by drmikechung at Citysearch
Nice sale guy, Sheraz.
Service is extremely spotty. I would recommend driving out to Foreign Motors West.
Service department is overwhelmed at HC. Often can't get a straight answer from anyone.
- Pros: sales - sheraz
- Cons: service
sleasy car salesmanship in its best
by Young Professional at Citysearch
Sales guy (Ahmed? not sure, Middle Eastern guy) was arrogant, decieivng (pretended car was not in stock), played hard to get. sold a car that was on the floor under disguise that it was not a showroom car. pressured to sign blank papers and squeezed a high charge in it we did not agree upon. essentially - all the sleasy tricks you hear about. r o tten palce. when I bought my last car (Honda) i haven't seen anything even close i Honda dealership (Weymouth). never coming back to buy anything else. don't advise anyone either.
- Pros: convenient location
- Cons: everything else
Check with the Better Business , before shopping here

How many times should you bring back a new car for the same problem? I know the parts made in china and need to be shipped via Germany. Oil change $385. The car has been in the shop now for over 7 weeks trying to fix the same problem. I will never go back there. We are off to BMW West.
Fast and Excellent service

My BMW had been through a rough winter of potholes and needed a lot of under carriage work done along with other service needed. They fixed my car like new in less than two days. It was expensive - but these cars only work well with BMW parts. The service people were kind, understanding, gave me whatever break they could and when I picked it up, they had washed it spotless - like off the show room. I had been to other dealerships and private car shops - Herb Chambers had the best service. I personally would like to thank my rep. Mr. Marini for being so patient and helpful.
Aggessive sales

I went in for a test drive, everything was good, some small annoying details like: I waited for 15 minutes for the car to be ready because the sales man needed a cigarette breaks (without letting you know first but shows up late with strong cigarette smells), answering other clients call while talking to you; answering GIRLFRIEND's call while talking to you.... These are still fine but the worst part is they gave me a 5000 dollars less trade-in value comparing to edmunds and later willing to match because I mentioned that I have actually did a research (which implies they wanted to take my advantage first?!), and then when I said I needed to think about it and get back to them within a few days, the sales man was threatening me that the car will be gone... he cannot believe that I won't make the deal even though everything is perfect... he cannot believe that I, as a mature adult, will need my parents or my husband's second opinions.... I think they are used to face clients like the rich college kids bring their parent's check book and they forgot there are regular young professionals who deserve a few days of consideration and, being treated like a normal human being. Although they are high-end BMW dealer in the city but their service is way worst then Honda or Toyota dealer on Route 1.
- Pros: Honestly really not much
- Cons: 4 cars in the show room, 1 is 2 years old; bad salesman; dishonest trade-in value
ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER
by drphilxr at Citysearch
WE WERE TOTALLY IGNORED BY THE SECRETARIES AND SALES STAFF.
We are 2 working doctors who walked in one slow afternoon, perhaps 2 to 3 customers milling around.
From the secretaries at the door to the sales staff, not one person even more than GLANCED at us.
We were not in scrubs, rather nicely casually dressed (no jeans) and had our little girl of 4 years in tow
who is very well behaved.
JUST DON'T GET IT. Most people at work in Burlington and Newton have advised to go to
Foreign Motors WEst world wide web. foreignmotorswest. com (city search does not allow
web addresses - be warned!) or Peabody BMW to actually get sales
service fitting to a human being.
The word on the street is simply this place must cater to regulars or "Rich middle eastern youth" who buy
with pocket cash on a whim.
- Pros: none
- Cons: completely ignored by sales staff unless you are royalty or better.
Excellent Customer Service
by starfish689 at Citysearch
As a first time car buyer, I was very intimidated by the process and really needed as much information as possible. I knew I wanted a Mini but had no idea what the difference was between a lease and ownership. I first went to the dealership in October to test drive the Cooper and the Cooper S. I had no intention of committing right then and there and everyone at the dealership was very supportive and helpful. I felt absolutely no pressure to do anything. The manager, Kerry Masone, was amazing and sat down with me and answered all of my questions- she was extremely helpful and as passionate about the Mini as I was!! When I was finally ready to lease my Mini in March, instead of doing so through my local Mini dealer in New York, I made the trip up to Boston to do so through Herb Chambers because my experience was there was so positive the first time. I did have a miscommunication with the dealership but they were very accommodating and made sure to make it up to me. I highly recommend them- especially Kerry!!
- Pros: Excellent Customer Service, very knowledgable staff
