The Scene
A laid-back bar atmosphere in which the young, restless and (hopefully) talented performers of almost any musical genre can cut their teeth six nights a week. Dank and rough at the edges--beer signs abound, as do taps--it performs the task well. A long-standing "dyke night," featuring DJs rather than live music, has also made Midway a happening lesbian destination.

The Draw
The music and the unpretentious crowd make this place good; a pool table, a big beer selection and theme nights only make it better. Those who are hungry may not get much in the way of food at Midway, but Jake's (of legendary local barbecue fame) has great ribs just next door--and you can bring them over and eat them at the bar.

No frills FUN

Dyke night is a great time...it really is the cheers for lesbians. Cheap cover, low priced beer and theres nothing like dancing on a jammed packed floor filled with women having fun. I like having different deejays and its great to be welcomed by smiling women each week-- without the attitude. Every show ive seen there has been top notch and its great to see women in the business who care about lesbian causes and do so much for the community.

I was new in town and went by myself, with much trepidation, to the bar. I found really cute women, cheap drinks, and great music. The women were friendly and I even got a few drinks bought for me!

I got to dance with a really cute girl too.

No Pretense Good Fun

Dyke night is the only place you don't have to prepare for hours to go out. You can be yourself and have a great time watching or grooving to the great music!

Good beer and Lots of eye candy!! All this for a reasonable cover, it is Heaven!!
