Locals and tourists flood the city to enjoy an extensive program of entertainment, most of it family-friendly (revelers need only purchase a First Night button to gain access to the indoor events). Elaborate ice sculptures fill Boston's parks, while the colorful Grand Procession parade and fireworks display round out the evening.
