Honestly, the location is not bad. The mall is right across the street, nice dining places are close by, but the hotel itself is not amazing. The rooms aren't bad but for the price per night it is not worth it. the hallway is dim and so are the rooms, the brightest lights are in the bathroom. The most disappointing part was the pool. Either it is closed because its raining...which is understandable, but otherwise I expected a much bigger pool. I've seen better pools at cheaper hotels and this was just pointless. The main reason I decided to stay here was because the rooftop pool seemed so unique...it was just disappointing. Maybe it is better when they have events but otherwise I would have preferred to stay somewhere else
Pros: Comfortable rooms, location
Cons: Overpriced

The room was fantastic, very clean, very nice and modern (this was the deluxe room, $20 more than the normal one I think). The only non-working thing was the bathroom fan, very minor. However, we were EXTREMELY disappointed the pool was out of service. I called ahead of time a few days in advance and the person I booked the room with told me it would be available that weekend. The pool mechanic told me on Saturday that the hotel knew things weren't ready the week before. When I asked for some vouchers or something so that we could use the pool some other day, that was denied. So I don't really feel like the hotel went out of our way to make our stay live up to the expectations that were set when I booked the room. Too bad because I liked the hotel in general. But they really didn't go out of their way to make me feel like I should come back.
Pros: Nice rooms, great location
Cons: Didn't go out of their way to satisfy customer

This hotel is one of the most disappointing places I have ever stayed (and I travel extensively all over the world, typically in very high-end hotels). They adverstise themselves as a luxury and business hotel. It is neither. The hotel is old, dingy, dark, musty and in a state of embarassing disrepair. My room looked like it had not been updated in 25 years. There were stains on virtually everything- the carpet, walls, furniture, bathroom fixtures & tile, even on the underside of the bedspread. My room had a stale odor that permeated everything. The hotel is just relying upon its location to lure in unsuspecting tourist and business people/convetioners. For the same amount of money there are a number of far superior, cleaner and nicer accomodations in the area.
Pros: location, but still not worth staying there
Cons: dirty, rooms old and worn out, musty smell

My girlfriend and I visited Boston in May, and needed a reasonably priced hotel to stay in for 2 nights. The Colonnade came recommended by a travel agent, and we were not disappointed. Granted, these aren't the nicest, or most luxurious rooms, but they were clean and tidy, and the location is GREAT! And the prices, around $130, were very reasonable for the area. However, I must say that the HOTEL STAFF was AMAZING!! As I was planning to pop the big question, they went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Booking the limo, getting flower petals to the room, dinner reservations, you name it - they did it! The concierge and night manager especially, were incredibly helpful, and made sure our stay was PERFECT!! And it was!!!
Pros: SERVICE, LOCATION, PRICE
