Best Massage Ever
by julescurtis at Citysearch
I stayed at the Four Seasons and decided to get a massage. I felt like a new person after Andrea gave me the best massage of my life. She really worked wonders. I've always been a little uncomfortable with the idea of being that vulnerable with a stranger, but Andrea made me feel completely at ease. She was professional as well as personable. After a long flight and stress from travel, seeing her changed the entire outlook of my trip. I plan on coming back to Boston just to unwind with a massage and relax.
One of Boston's most acclaimed hotels impresses with exceptional amenities and dining options.

The Scene
This cream-of-the-crop property enjoys stunning views of the State House and Public Garden. The lobby welcomes guests with marble, granite, grandfather clocks and soft lighting. Accommodations are decorated in muted tones with floor-length window treatments, intricate light fixtures and marble bathrooms. Artwork hangs in elaborate frames, complementing the regal and serene atmosphere. The property is an easy walk to the Boston Common, the Freedom Trail and Faneuil Hall.
The Details
The lush guest rooms and suites feature an array of niceties, including terry-cloth bathrobes, oversized bath towels and down pillows. Large bay windows open onto pretty views of the Public Garden. At $6,600 a night, the Presidential Suite is the city's priciest hotel room (one with an opulent layout and private service). Children also get the royal treatment--the concierge will even provide them with food for feeding the ducks in Boston's Public Garden.

I found my recent stay to be top notch all the way, and I have stayed in many of the top hotels around the country and the world. The room was large and comfortable, the food was *excellent*, and service in my experience was prompt and efficient. I agree with others that the staff here is more reserved than in other cities, but they certainly were not "cold" as described in other reviews. I guess muy only concenr was that the exercise room was small, but I didn't have ot wait for machines at 6 AM
;^)
This is definitely my favorite Boston hotel.
- Pros: decor, comfort, food
- Cons: expensive
