Love The Four Seasons
by CarolTarpinHagins
September 21, 2008
My husband Richard and I love to celebrate our anniversary and other special occasions at The Four Seasons, especially at Aujourd'hui. Everyting about it is sooo Ohh'La-La !! Two years ago, we tried The Bristol Lounge out with some friends of ours from New York (our soon-to-be in laws !) We loved it !!
Excellent in every way. So perfect that we are now trying to persuade our daughter Alison-Leigh to plan her wedding there in 2010. However, the kids want to stay with New York, where our future son-in-law is now a
surgeon. Well, we have plenty of time to keep pestering them to marry in beautiful Boston at the Four Seasons !! Time will tell. We love the hotel and all it has to offer:) We highly recommend to all !!
The Four Seasons Hotel's lounge is an ideal destination for an upscale date spot.

In Short
From early morning when the city's elite hold breakfast meetings, to late night when 30-somethings swill designer nightcaps, the Bristol is one of Boston's premier all-purpose hotel lounges. Large enough to house a small army, the lounge provides several different seating options, from street-side window tables to the rear bar's stools. A fireplace and live jazz and classical piano (Thursdays through Saturdays) add to the romantic atmosphere.
Favorite place!

The Bristol Lounge is one of my favorite restaurants of all time! It has a great atmosphere/ambiance and the food is great. I've had so many wonderful meals I couldn't even begin to name them. The restaurant is very relaxed..not pretentious and fun for people watching both inside and along the street. I've gone here with boyfriends, ex boyfriends, parents, friends, birthdays. All occasions applicable! Definitely recommend!
- Pros: great food and staff!

The best brunch in the city. Lobster, crab, raw bar, sushi. Dim sum, beef, ham, chicken, lobster ravioli. Plus all the breakfast mainstays, salads and sides and a fantastic dessert table. all this and incredible service and wonderful view of the gardens. The 65.00 price tag is well worth it
- Pros: Service, ambience,food quality
- Cons: none
Best Chocolate Souffle In The World!

This was my 2nd time dining at this restaurant. I had recently proposed and the maitre d made sure we were sat at the large windows overlooking the Common. Everyone congratulated us and was served complimentary champagne as we sat. The decor really is very elegant. The restaurant has done a fine job of coming across as being classy and luxurious without being stuffy.
The food was exceptional. High points to mention are the lobster bisque, beef loin and a great wine list. The highlight of the dinner was the Chocolate Souffle. It was simply to die for. If you do one thing in your life before you die, you must try this! I have never tasted anything better. The staff was polite, courteous and made sure we had the best possible experience. I highly recommend dining here.
- Pros: Chocolate Souffle, Wine List, Ambience and Attention to Detail
- Cons: none

Best of Boston, Hands Down

This place is the best place for special occasion dining. My graduation dinner was here, and it was one of the most perfect experiences. We had to be moved to a sectioned off private room not part of the hotel, but the entire affair was catered by the restaurant (obviously). We had three bottles of complimentary champagne, a cheese and fruit tray, and five passed around hors d'ourves. Unbelieveable, all unpaid for. The room was better than anything in the restaurant, the view was spectacular, the windows were huge, there were comfy chairs and sofas, and it was all just beautiful. The food is impeccable. I picked the place because it was the highest rated restaurant in the city. Every reason for that. 11 people all loved their meal, and dessert. I really could go on all day. This place is decadent, spectacular, and makes me want to marry a rich man so I ccould eat there all the time. Go! Don't think, just go! You will love it.
- Pros: I am in love with this restaurant.
- Cons: Pricey. No doubt. But just go. You only live once.

We went to Aujord 'hui for our fifth wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time there. The service was perfect. I would rate the food only 9 out of 10 (we have eaten better french food elsewhere) but the service more than makes up for it.
Do bear in mind that this is a formal place so if you are looking for some place more casual or laid-back, I would recommend going elsewhere.
- Pros: Perfect service, Great ambience, Excellent food
- Cons: Formal, pricey (what else would you expect from the Four Seasons?) although they do have a sub $ 50 wine list

This is an amazing restaurant, with very special service. My family has gone to Aujourd'hui for special occasions for over 15 years. If you have something special to celebrate, I highly recommend it. And definitely order a souffle for dessert - just remember to order it with your meal! Enjoy!
- Pros: Amazing service, great food

The first time I visited Aujord'hui was to celebrate my anniversary. It was the most elegant dining experience ever! The walk up to the dining room on the grand staircase and past the elegant piano set the mood for the evening. The waitstaff was attentive and discreet at the same time. We felt like we were the only couple in the room. The view of the commons at night was special and the food was superb! The presentation was gorgeous and every bite was delicious. We tried the tasting menu that was outlined by the chef that night and the wine pairings were exceptional. Definitely a first-class experience. I know it was pricey but well worth it!
- Pros: Ambience, Service
- Cons: Price
