Always Been a Favorite

I have a good time every time at Clerys. You need to get there early, and get settled at the bar or table though. Lines to the front door can extend around the block after 10pm. Its best to go in groups, especially if you stay on the first floor. The dance floor in the basement is good too. Bartenders always pour a good Guiness and if you work it right, they'll buy you a beer here in there. Definitely a bit dressier than other venues, but this ads to the casual yet upscale atmosphere.
- Pros: good place to meet people
- Cons: prices are high for some food dishes
Best Pub Food and fun

We just love Clery's and the atmosphere there, sometimes the crowd gets a little young for us, but overall it's a fantastic place in a really affordable price range.
- Pros: The food is nicely done, not the frozen fried food you find elsewhere
- Cons: The place can end up a little noisy

I use to love this place. Great atmosphere, good beer and lots of laughs... until i saw a cockroach crawel arcoss the floor. I was told that every place that has food has cockroaches but to different employees. Not were I'm from.
- Cons: cockroaches
GreatNeighborhood Bar

Always fun, busy , and a good place to eat. Selections are limited and never change, but very good. I recommend the Copley Chicken sandwhich. I have been here for both luch and dinner..and a few times just to have a drink with friends. Never a dull moment. I have learned that as long as you smile the wait staff always are friendly..no matter how bad a day they have had. Highly recommended
- Pros: Close By, Inexpensive, Friendly
Great Bar!

My friends and I recently discovered this place; We never have a problem finding a seat/table, the drinks aren't expensive, and the music is there, but not so loud that you need to shout over it just to be heard. Another good thing is that it's not very crowded. Being short and just having had back surgery, I need to be careful when choosing the type of places I go; Clery's is perfect because it's not that crowded so I won't get jouseled. As for food, well, it's not spectacular, but it's pretty decent bar food; I would suggest sticking with the apps, burgers, & salads.
- Pros: near back bay station, great wait staff
- Cons: can be kinda slow
