by liness at Citysearch

ok its pleather they call i vegan but ladies its pleather made in china. Why are we paying so much for it. compare cost quality to payless honestly educate yourself before you buy. I really cant believe that this is considered the best shoe shop in Boston I can list like 10 that are much better a top of my head.

  • Pros: vegan
  • Cons: pleather

Where nearly every Boston gal shops (or at least browses) for her trendy footwear.

by Contributor at Citysearch

The Scene
Popular stop on the shopping extravaganza that is Newbury Street. Fashionistas and young professionals with decent disposable incomes flock to this hip shoe boutique for of-the-moment styles priced less than at some of Boston's higher-end retailers.

The Goods

Thom Brown carries everything from hard-core, tree-hugger boots by Frye and Durango to hooker-chic, thigh-high numbers with platform soles and funky patterns. In summer, browse the array of sandals: thongs, flip-flops, slides, lace-up-to-the-knee sandals and on and on. In winter, it's a parade of boots: ankle-high, calf-high, knee-high and thigh-high. Going to work, going shopping, going clubbing, going to SM night--the appropriate footwear is here, and it's all sold to hot, pulsating beats.

Stylish Shoes For This Season

by namibrs at Citysearch

Thom Brown's shoe inventory for this season is spectacular. There are tons of styles and name brands to choose from. I had such a hard time deciding on what to purchase before I decided on a pair of flip flops for summer and nice sneakers for my dress down, grungy days. This place is fabulous and I'd recommend all shoppers to make a stop here for their spring season shopping needs...you'll definitely not leave empty handed. Don't forget your pocketbook!!

  • Pros: Selection, Customer Service, Location

YAY!! ANTICONSERVATIVE

by bobbypants at Citysearch

Living in the Northeast is hard enough when you're a young gay male who has way too much style for his surroundings, however, Thom Brown on Newbury has the best selection of funky, new shoes that are sure to attract attention. If you're someone who isn't a sheep (unlike most up here in Mass) and likes to stand out from the flock, go to Thom Brown for the newest, hottest footwear, trust me.. :-)

  • Pros: awesome selection, large sizes, customer service
  • Cons: parking, parking, parking

Top Notch!

by ZinniaZ at Citysearch

Thom Brown is one of my favorite shoe stores in Boston. It carries a big selection of trendy shoes and basics at reasonable prices, and they have great sales. If I'm looking for something specific, I'm more likely to find it here than at DSW, which has a huge selection, but is better for browsing. Check out their outlet, too!
