Cozy space with friendly, knowledgeable servers. Salads were sauced excellently. Halibut special was cooked to perfection. Ravioli was to die for. Will return soon. Highly recommended.
Pros: Food, Service, Value, Atmosphere
Cons: Washroom cleanliness

I had never eaten great Italian food until I visited the North End. Since my visit to Boston was brief, I decided on Terramia because of the many good reviews. The restaurant is set away from busy Hanover. It's actually larger than what the facade would imply. The interior is softly lit by candles and the seating is slightly cramped, which didn't represent a problem until people rose. Everyone in the restaurant seemed engaged in vibrant conversation and to be enjoying their dinners. I thoroughly enjoyed my lobster risotto, which was cooked well and contained much more lobster than I expected. My girlfriend loved her duck and artichoke ravioli. The glasses of house wine cost on the higher side, but are still reasonable. The absence of dessert and coffee isn't a problem since there are stores that serve both near Terramia. The service is adequate and unobtrusive, although a bit on the slower side. The restaurant was bustling early in the week and later in the evening, so I assume that reservations are a good idea.
Pros: cozy interior, vibrant atmosphere
Cons: parking is awful, but not the restaurant's problem

Since we were married on 08/18/06, this visit was part of our honeymoon and it was fantastic. Great Food and Service(+). Like my Mama cooked and feels like home. Thanks Gabrieli.
Pros: lobster fritters, open face ravioli, veal chop
Cons: none

I tried Terramia at 98 Salem St, North End. The food was great (I had a salmon special and lobster fritters and my partner had the veal chop), the ambience was warm and cozy, and there was a decent selection of wines. Service was very attentive also. Thank you and I'll be back !
Pros: service, food, ambience
Cons: parking(go for parking lots), small place, not for kids

What a wonderful place, tucked away on this little sidestreet in the heart of the north end. The food and ambience were tremendous with a friendly atmosphere and servers that pay attention to your every need. They smile and make conversation without that pretentious stuffiness you would find uptown. Truly a wonderful experience.

I am (TERRAMIA) restaurant client from about 5 years, I like the PASTA. Terramia was (in my opinion) the best Italian restaurant in the NORTH END but not now. Last week I went with my wife and her parents. I ordered as usual my favorite pasta (RAVIOLINI) the sauce was like water too loose and my wife's gniocci was too dry without sauce in. I am sorry but this is what happened to me. I will never come back to eat in my (TERRAMIA).
Pros: bad food

I was responsible for choosing the restaurant for our large group of well-traveled professionals. Thank heavens, Terramia didn't let me down! The skilled wait staff and nice atmosphere complemented the fine meal. Our group occupied half the seating late on a Thursday evening (call for reservations), but the kitchen and the wait staff handled everything beautifully. Delicious food, good wine list. Everyone raved and I looked very smart! Highly recommend. Order the lobster fritters.
Pros: delicious, intimate, creative menu

What a find! I had read good reviews of Terramia, so on Saturday my partner and I thought we'd try it for ourselves. We were not disappointed. The food was wonderful, and so authentic - this is a little bit of Italy in Boston! The staff were delightful and the service just right. We will certainly be returning, many times I hope
Pros: food, service, location

I drop by for a very short trip in Boston. Using Citysearch I was guided to Terramia Ristorante. I must say that was a very good pick. Both this site and restaurant are excelent. If you are in Boston have a few hours and a dinner to take this restaurant is a very good choice.
Pros: food, services
