Dissapointing Experience
by ChillerA at Citysearch
This used to be a good place to eat but recently my wife and i ordered beef curry here and it tasted horrible. My wife would not eat her dish and the staff became very rude after she would not order a replacment dish. after i explained the reasons why the dish was poor they still acted very rude. i will never eat there again. there are so many better places to eat in china town. they need to treat customers better and listen to good and bad views equally.
- Pros: location
- Cons: Rude staff and average food
Great fresh sashimi
by maxxie at Citysearch
The place is on a busy corner in Chinatown. The staff is attentive and helpful. The sushi chefs create beautiful plates. It was the freshest blue fin tuna that has ever crossed my palate. And the patriot roll (blueberries and lime) seems like an unlikely combo but were surpassingly good! We keep going back. Can't get any better.
Best Korean food in Boston proper
by calla432 at Citysearch
Unless you're willing to trek out to the suburbs or Cambridge, it's hard to find good Korean food. This place is authentic, affordable, and has the best sushi in Chinatown. Try the dduk bboki, soon dooboo chigae, and bulgogi, especially. The lunch/dinner options are also a great deal and are super delicious. Expect to pay under $20 a person. Plus the service is excellent. Great also for after-hours eats on the weekends.
- Pros: Fantastic Korean food and superb sushi, great service, affordable.
- Cons: Rare to find parking, sometimes it's very crowded.
Best Sushi in Chinatown, and maybe even Boston
by franksinatra at Citysearch
I've been to this place numerous times and it has NEVER failed me. The sushi is excellent, and at a reasonable price too! They're not cheap with the fish either, you'll get hearty pieces that will fill you up. Some of the makis come with more than 10 pieces, you won't go home hungry. I recommend the Dragon or Godzilla makis!
Enjoy!
- Pros: Sushi
- Cons: No more bubble tea :(
why didn't anyone ever tell me how awsome korean food is??
by stevesgroove at Citysearch
this is the ultimate late night (food) binge restaurant. it's not a dive at all; they just re-decorated and the place looks great--including a spotless bathroom (hard to find in chinatown at any time of day). suhshi bar looks unattended until you order something, then a real pro comes out and does his thing. can't think of anyplace i'd rather splurge a few thousand calories after a night on the town. btw, good beer selection ;)

Chinatown eatery serves up a lengthy menu of Korean and Japanese fare, including flaming stews and sizzling rice dishes.

being korean i've been to pretty much every korean place in boston. suishaya is one of my favs. they're not overpriced like some others; the food is authentic; and the service is always great.
Good food, good service

I went to this place on St. Patrick's Day. The service was great and the food was even better. Out of the other places in Chinatown that serve sushi, I have to say this one takes the cake.
A Great Find in China Town
by Whitehorse_Travellers at Citysearch
My wife and I had lunch here by chance. Excellent, friendly and helpful service. The staff obviously takes great pride in what they do and serve. The food was outstanding, some of the best Korean food anywhere! And a very clean place, definitely many steps above the normal Boston China Town eatery.
Strongly recommend trying this one!!
