food is good and reasonable, But the customers are the thing to watch from tuxedos and euros to bums and goth, That staff is the same as the customers everything creates energy from the juke box to line to the coffee. This a reality tv show in real life. Had a Cheeseburger that was good. fries crispy Milkshake and I was stuffed and ready to go to sleep best place late night

Pros: fun

Cons: line

too bad i wasn't intoxicated enough to not be able to tell the difference. went there only bcoz that's like the only place on the planet that's open at wee hours (sad thing is, we drove all the way into the city to find only this place open). wasn't too satisfied w/the whole experience: from greasy table to lack of service to sloppy food... well, i guess there's always a trade-off. :)

Pros: late-night eating

Cons: only choice around

I went to get breakfast at 3 a.m. after the club and it was really good diner style breakfast. Greasy spoon, fast service, great all american diner.

Pros: open late

Cons: it is very busy after the clubs and bars get out on the weekends

Great breakfast food, flavors and taste of all-American diner food is right on. However, some may be turned off by the run-down space and dirtiness. Great for late night eats.

Pros: Good food, cheap price.

Cons: Diner is run-down and dirty.

The cubans are good here. Service is eh. Other food is okay, I've been here a few times and never had the horrible expiriences some of the reviewers have had but I've never had an amazing expirience here either. If you're looking for a good diner expirience try victorias in south boston.

Pros: Cuban sandwich, open late

Cons: not so clean

I question the people who rated this place so highly. Where you paying attention?? I decided to visit the Diner one morning with a friend, hoping to get what some might call a 50's diner experience. It was far from that. I ordered a sprite and my friend water. After a few sips, I noticed several floaties in my soft drink. When I turned my cup around, there were remnants of crusted chocolate milk inside my cup. When I asked for another, it was no better. I recieved flat watered down sprite. There were floaties in my friend's water as well. To my regret, I ended up ordering a simple burger and fries, but didn't get through half of it. I began to question the quality of my food and the nature in which it was prepared. It was easy to observe that cleanliness was not a priority for this establishment. Flies were sworming all over the place and I could only imagine what was roaming in the kitchen. Our waiter totally ignored us and when he did approach us he was extremely rude and careless, tossing our dishes on the table as if they were dice. My friend became sick later that day. I threw up for most of the day, wishing I made breakfast at home or had the nerve to just get up and leave when I sensed things weren't right. No matter how hungry or desperate I get in the near or distant future - late night or daytime - I am certain that I will never visit this establishment again. I'm curious to know how they pass state health expections each year. Please, somebody else back me up on this.

Pros: Convenient and Cheap

Cons: Cleanliness, poor service

Pay the extra a go to the news next door or somewhere else. This place has Cockroache Hideaway written all over it. I usually like breakfast food to be greasy and cheap for late night food. This place had the worst service I have seen. The food was below average even with a buzz on. 2 of the 4 people in my group got chocolate milk($3.00)...within 3 minutes, both went into the bathroom and threw up(one of them didnt drink that night). The waitress didnt even address it or even call the manager over!

Out drinking, partying and bar hopping - need a quick hit. South Street Diner is the cure. Don't wait too close to 1:30-2AM. You won't get a seat. Best value for bfast and you can even meet great people waiting in line.

Pros: The people, Bfast 24/7, Affordable

Cons: Loud, Rowdy near 2AM, Long line

hot waitresses, giant omelets (try the broccoli-cheddar-cream cheese-potato combination), surprisingly good coffee....if you're drunk and hungry, you'll get more than a fabulous meal. if you can ignore the huge weekend lines, you'll eat greasy delicious wonderful food in a crazy environment. and for god's sakes tip your waitress well. they don't make girls like that everywhere, y'know.

Pros: good food, not very overpriced

Cons: long wait, loud
