Not Impressed. After reading some of the glowing reviews about this place we was really excited to give it a try. We ordered some takeout on a Saturday night and we were not impressed. First of all they forgot our Hot and Sour Soup, we were disappointed but having worked in the service industry, understand that things happen, especially on busy nights. However, the rest of our order was bland and tasteless. We actually added salt and pepper to the food! Needless to say we won't be back.

Worst Service Ever. Can you recommend a restaurant just because they have amazing Hot and Sour soup even though you just had the worst service ever. I have never waited longer or felt like i was being rushed more than i was at this restaurant. The hostess was awful and practically threw our menus at us while half heartedly pointing at a table. It was 930pm and they closed at 2am. But they made it seem like they closed at 931. Avoid this place! There are plenty of other better places in Chinatown.

Went there for Lunch.... Had the General Gau's Chicken. Crispy and nice flavor to it. Also had the Sliced Pork Hunan Style. Sauce was very good and vegetables were fresh. Lunch specials were good price starting at around $6. Includes soup or soda and appetizer. Hot and Sour soup tasted great, but the consistensy was a little thick. Appetizer is one crab rangoon, but good. Lunch portions were very generous.

Service was decent.

Why go anywhere else.. The food is really good... all the time. Everytime I stray or get a recommendation from someone else, I get disappointed because it is so hard to beat. They have the best Hot & sour soup in Chinatown (Peach farm is the next best) although it comes to the table luke warm sometimes. The Variety of food is tremendous and wait staff will help you pick things if you want to stray from the standard lunch combo's.

Most of the patrons are chinese which is also a good indication that the food is authentic.
