I almost didn't go out when a few friends wanted to have drinks. Wow am I glad I did. We had drinks at the bar at Radius and looked around for all the "beautiful people" that we have heard so much about. Well, okay, they were there, from the front door to the person who filled my water glass. The bar staff was warm and funny, and made great recommendations on wine (even when we just wanted to eat the tempura and fries). Because of this experience, I took a client to Radius a few nights later. I have never felt so well taken care of. We did a chef's tasting which in short was one of the best food experinces I ever had. Our server was attentive, but did not hover. She was professional but not stiff. If you listen to people out there who say not to try this place, you are truly missing out. Those people probably don't understand the concept of "fine dining". I did not leave hungry, this wasn't a "pea on a plate" type place. The food was innovative and interesting and prepared in ways I never imagined in my own kitchen. The sommelier was delightful and funny and the dessert sent me over the edge. Don't hesitate to try it. Stop wasting time reading reviews and just go.

My company uses Radius quite frequently for business meetings and the staff never fails to meet our expectations. Whether it is a strict time frame that we need to be out by or getting late guests their meal, the team at Radius makes it seem effortless. We have tried other spaces, but always return because they do it the best. Oh... make sure you try the prime rib eye if you get the chance. Amazing!
Pros: Service and Staff
Cons: Parking

I handle private events for our firm all over the United States. I have never been more relaxed at an event with our top clients as I was when I had my event at Radius. The staff was outstanding, the food delicious and appropriate for the group. (nothing messy, bite-sized) All in all it was a perfect venue for impressing the powers that be. I would trust this restaurant with any event, be it a small dinner for two or a buyout for 200.

Having been in the food business for the past 30 years, I found Radius to be quite disappointing. Service was rushed from the minute we were seated. Appetizers were forgetable, gnochi and ahi, and entrees were mediocre at best. Desserts were a huge disapointment. Cepe Ice cream, Fennugreek Ice Cream? They have managed to take the "Dessert" out of Dessert!! Best part of the meal was the dinner rolls, and the over-priced wine. I doubt I will return,
Pros: Rolls
Cons: Reputation

Our waiter had body odor. Do not order the cobb salad - it's disgusting. Don't go unless you have at least an hour and a half to dine because service is SLOW.
Pros: It's a good happy hour spot.
Cons: The food is not so great.

Radius is a fantastically organised restaurant. The service (from the reservation, coat check, waiting staff) is fabulous. The decor of this place is very impressive. I"ve been here once for lunch and another for dinner. The downstairs looks amazing, but I have yet to be down tehre ( i think tis for larger functions). The food at Radius is okay as well, great presentation, quiet for a dinner for two. I recommend Radius, though its prices are a bit high. I'd rather choose another place for dinner. However, this is definitely a great place for a POWER LUNCH.
Pros: atmosphere, decor

From the moment we entered this fine restaurant, we were impressed. We arrived about 20 mins. before our reservation, but we were seated immediately. We had lunch (prix fixe $20.04!) We were offered still water or sparkling water. Our appetizers (tomato and onion salad and cucumber soup) were each mouthwatering. The presentation was even incredible. Our entrees (roasted chicken breast and salmon) were tasty and satisfying. The sour dough rolls that accompanied our meals were delicious. Dessert was fresh and a perfect ending to our meal. Wait staff was attentive, but not stifling. As soon as our water glasses neared halfway empty, they were refilled (several times). The lunch was a birthday celebration and I'd noted it when I made the reservation. When dessert was served to the "birthday boy", it came with a sparkling candle and 'Happy Birthday' written in chocolate across the rim of the plate. In addition, he was given a birthday card from the restaurant staff as well as a gift certificate for a visit in November. This truly was a fine dining experience. I look forward to another visit.

Excellent. Service is generally very quality, although the last time I went (I go once a year for a special occassion), they did screw up a few minor things (missing a place setting, late with the wine). But that was just once - the other times have been literally perfect. The food is very tasty. Don't eat the whole day and go to the dinner, order the chef's tasting menu with wine paring (it's pricey but a great time).
Pros: Everything but cost
Cons: Cost

So far this has been the only fine dining experience in Boston where the level of everything was awesome. From the hostess & the bar tenders to the food & cocktails. This is how fine dining should be - in my opinion. The bar is a bit small, but has a fierce feel - very cosmopolitan meets chic. HIGHLY RECOMENDED!
Pros: Service Service Service - Best Burger in Town - $17 Kobe Beef & totally worth it
Cons: Boston needs more restaurants on par with Radius.

Went for lunch with a group of seven and we were all frustrated by the shockingly bad service. Despite the swarms of waiters floating around the restaurant, we went ignored for the better part of the 90 minutes we spent at Radius. The only exception was the "bread girl" who kept our plates full of delicious rolls. The remainder of the wait staff seemed to be too busy keeping their hair properly primped. Although we all agreed that the food was extraordinary -- one of the best burgers in Boston, tremendous fish and delicious salads -- it was overshadowed by the lack of attention we received. If you must go, stick to the bar.
Pros: Spectacular food
Cons: Worst service in town
