Based on my own esperiences with Verizon, I am working on with main official office such as Attorney General's office to find out the fact what happened with the phone service because my home phone was suddenly disconnected with no billing issue. In the mean time, I am posting this message to have the public, esp, Verizon land line phone customers be aware of that: they may disconnect your home phone service and do not follow up with your request for what and where the problem is even you are a resident of a condo or apartment complex. After that, what you can get from their service is nothing but the busy phone signal and phone bills. I hope that I am the only their customer who experiences this problem as my name looks and sounds strange.

Pros: major land line phone service provider in MA

Cons: not serving but ruling their customers for their own profits

8 days no service. My elderly parents have Verizon local telephone service, or had it up until September 30 when it went out. Verizon set up a tent on September 30 for Quincy, MA residents to talk with them? My parents put in a trouble ticket and it is still out today. Even though a guy in a bucket truck was on the telephone pole across the street for 1 hour from 12.30pm to 1.30pm today Saturday October 7, 2006. 8 days without phone service for elderly people with health problems? Something is definitely NOT right here. They are not the only ones on the block without Verizon service. Neighbors with ATT have no problem. Someone SHOULD have said, "hey I can't solve this problem bring in some help from outside Massachusetts if necessary." I made a mistake like this when I was a beginning waiter at a restaurant. I let people go without service for 5 minutes, instead of asking for help. I got fired. So I called the customer service line and got the run around. On hold for the supervisor for 49 minutes and still no one. Called back 5 times to get someone. Still not resolved.

Pros: It worked for a while

Cons: Customer service, they don't escalate SERIOUS problems - like no service for 8 days.
