Great on Thursdays

Last poster has obviously never spent much time at this fine establishment. They have scrumptious food, tasty cocktails and delicious help. Their staff are polite and courteous, among the best in the city of Boston, from the bartenders right down to the doormen everyone is phenomenal. There are very few places I would rather go on a weekend night to enjoy a few cocktails with friends.
- Pros: Great food, reasonably priced drinks, attractive help
- Cons: packed on thursdays
Suburban Crowd

Place stinks. It's for people from the suburbs that wished they lived in the city. Not for real Bostonians.

I love The Vault. The place has it all. Great food, great atmosphere, great service. The staff is fab. They truly make the place shine. The bar is long & spacious. Seats do go quickly. After 5pm, you're lucky if you can get one. However, there are plenty of tables that do not require reservations. There's a semi-private dining area with a fireplace & it's own bathroom. Perfect to get this space reserved for a private party or work function. I've held functions at the Vault & each event was a success. During the week, the place is jammed with the after work crowd. The beginning of the week is quieter than the end. Street parking is limited but there is an outdoor lot right around the corner.
- Pros: staff, food, bar
THE PLACE TO BE

One of the best after work bars in town. Fun and energetic. Food is really good. Thurs. is a crowded night, but a great time.
- Pros: food, drinks, atmosphere
Good Drinks, Crowded Bar

The drinks were fabulous, but it was so crowded on a Thursday night that my friends and I were barely able to turn around. Definately arrive early to get a spot by the bar or find a seat. They go quickly!
- Pros: location, good drinks
- Cons: crowded!
A Financial District favorite re-opens with a new approach, aimed toward attracting social after-work crowds.

In Short
With a lengthy menu of upscale comfort fare and a bustling bar scene, the Vault is a popular after-work location for downtown workers. The busy bar serves up designer drinks (espresso martinis, mango margaritas) and affordable draft beers. Among the numerous starters available are homemade chicken tenders, steamed shrimp dumplings and mini-cheeseburgers. Secretaries stick to turkey BLTs and grilled portobello sandwiches, while corporate types opt for Black Angus sirloin and chicken marsala.
