How is this pub in business ?. I have been visiting pubs all over the World for the last 43 years on a "too often and too long" frequency and I have seldom met a more rude member of staff as I have observed as the Beantown Pub. He must be the proprietor because I fail to understand how he holds on to his position behind the bar with the attitude he displays. I pointed this out to a member of staff and told her I was embarrassed to be an Irishman.

Tourist hot spot!. Always busy! In the heart of downtown just steps away from the commons. Service is decent. Tasty food, and with woodchuck on tap I have no complaints! A bit pricey but nothing unexpected for Boston.

Want to meet a suffolk law student?. Usually an equal mix of locals and people from away, Beantown Pub combines a good beer selection, pool tables, Golden Tee and good grub with substandard service. Its location next to Suffolk Law makes it a popular after class watering hole for students and professors. Sure, the students you’ll find there after classes let out aren’t going to be as classy as those in Cambridge, but they are waaayyy more fun. So, if you’re looking for a place to eat pub grub over a pool table (the nachos are wonderful) and mix with locals and/or tourists, Beantown just might be your heaven.

great downtown pub. this is a great pub right downtown at Park Street. Always always fun and good greasy pub grub. Definitely good 20-30s crowd and a mix of types of ppl, generally good music and many pool tables in the back. Always good stuff!

Great hangout place. The food was not bad, the place is catered to those who are into some pool game fun and enjoying good food all at the same time. Great place, great location, service is not bad. I've been there more than once, however, the customer service is not consistent. there are times where the server was attentive, there are times where i was completely being ignored and there are times where the server would forget to bring some of our food to our table. I would recommend this place for good food and fun, and great place to hang out with friends, but definitely won't be enjoyed by those who values great customer service.

Bad service. Not my kind of bar. The only good thing I have to say about this pub is that they have good mixed drink specials. Our waitress totally ignored us and I had to get up and find her when we were ready for the check. The food wasn't particularly tasty either. I'd say that I definitely wasted my money here.

The Worst. Had lunch here and the service was terrible. It took 20 mins to get a diet coke and 45 mins for our food. A pub downtown should be able to turn around a weekday lunch in under an hour. Oh, and the food was not good either.

Beantown ?Pub?. This place is pretty bad. One decent bartender and the typical Boston attitude that you would find at any wanna-be pub in the financial district of Boston. Food is horrible. We wanted to go to a pub for "pub food" in Boston (isn't this supposed to be a pub town?) and the food was absolutely gross. The beer selection was good, but you will immediately be able to tell that the tap lines are never cleaned. Each beer that we had tried smelled skunked. One of the bartenders was nice and attentive (probably would do better if he worked at another pub) . Pretty much, most of the staff were fine with exception to one guy (and I believe he is the manager). We could hear him arguing with some customers. We spoke to a few regulars while we were there, and they all said he is is often rude. As far as location, could be better. Overall we would rate the experience a 2 out of 10, based on the food, beer (freshness) and pub management. There are certainly a lot of other better places to go, don't waste your time and money here.

Worth every buck. I would pay double the prices at the beantown if they could promise me being served by the same bartender. His service was on point and seemed rehersed. It was like a show. I've been back, and he did it again. If you want to drink beer and laugh, go there and be a fan to someone who shouldn't be entertaining for free. I'm going to leave out his name, because this place has many servers like him.

Sit at the bar if you can get a seat.

Where both tourists and locals go for pool, cheap eats, and a Sam Adams (while staring at his grave).. In Short
Located a short stroll from the Park Street T Stop, this casual hotspot attracts both locals and tourists alike. Featuring eight TVs throughout the bar and eight billiards tables in a separate room, the Beantown's a popular Downtown destination among college students and young professionals. That all twelve beers on tap are under $5 helps make it an affordable night out. Perfect for late-night eats, its pub-fare menu is available until 1am.
