argh. I can't seem to get my prescription from them. Very enthusiastic in helping PURCHASE from them, but not at all interested in helping to send/fax me my prescription. Said "they would get back to me at THEIR earliest convenience". double argh. Would not recommend, and I concur with the quality of the lens, mine are far more scratched (after ~6 mo.) then any pair I've previously owned. Did get a response the second time around tho...

I'm graduating this week from college and I wanted to look my best, my friend had these great colored contacts and I asked him where he got them, he told me about this store and told me that they were decently priced so I decided to give it a go. The staff was really helpful when it came to helping me find the right color and brand. They had the color I wanted in stock and less than a half hour later I had my contacts for a great price and I was all good for the graduation ceremony.

Pros: Great selection of Contacts, great service

I was on vacation and broke my glasses while on a bike tour. Being almost blind without them, I went to the store looking for a replacement, the staff there called my doctor in New York and got my prescription, told me of a great deal they had going and got me my glasses back that day and I also bought an extra pair just in case my misfortune arose again. The selection was great, the staff was helpful, compassionate and understanding and my glasses were perfect. Thank you all!

Pros: Great service, great selection and very understanding....

I was looking for a nice frame for a long time and been to many optical shops, I came across Cohen's by accident, walking through Downtown Crossing. I must say the selection was huge, I got two pairs one pair of black Mykita frames which are the best glasses i have ever owned and a pair of Tag Heuer sunglasses that are really nice too. The staff there is very friendly and helpful. The glasses were ready in one hour while I got my girlfriend a gift across the street in the jewelry building. The price was reasonable and service was excellent.

Pros: huge selection

Cons: none

Recently, I was looking for glasses for my twin grandchildren. I checked a few stores around, but either the prescription was too complicated, and stores refused to order them, (I think it was too much of hassel for them or little money) or the price was too high for me. Finally I came to Cohen's Optical in downtown. To my surprise, not only were they eager to help as much as they could, but the price was very reasonable compared to the other four stors we checked. They gave my grandchildren and I a full hour of undivided attention, and helped us pick the right frames. Service was very friendly and professional. My 5 year-old grandchildren were very happy and left with two ballons. The glasses were made in two days according to specifications, and they were flawless. I was very pleased to find that the new lenses were much thinner then the old ones.

While traveling through Boston on a recent business trip, I lost a screw from my eyeglasses. I happened to be on Washington St and walked into Cohen's Fashion Optical. They happily repaired my glasses for free and even adjusted and cleaned them. While they were working on them, I saw some great looking glasses. They were able to get my prescription from my eye doctor in Connecticut and they were ready when I returned from lunch. They're great! and the price was very fair.

Pros: Excellent service and selection.

Cohen's is where to go for cheap eyewear. But beware, it may be too cheap. I bought two frames for the price of one, with some other incentive/deal piled on. I thought everything was peachy, but then I realized that the lenses distorted my view when I looked to the sides. I found out that Cohen's uses some really cheep-o lens material in their product and so when I went back to ask for a different lens, one of the manager's lackies told me that it would cost me an additional $50. Beware. You can get some good service here (the manager is nice), but the product is crap.

Pros: Good Service, Value

Cons: Crappy Product
