This is my favorite store. You can find all types of bargains for various merchandise, including many of famous designer brand names. This store is huge so you can basically do your one stop shopping here. I really like this store. Check it out!!
Pros: Selection, Prices, Location

While there are several "Mens' stores" throught the region, if you know your shoulder, waist, inseam, neck size, and what your profession dictates; Filene's Basement is the only opprotunity in New England to obtain ultra exclusive mens' suits at 25 to 50% off retail. Bring your information and enlist help from one of the few clothiers on the floor. DO NOT BE SHY. I purchased two suits ($1100 total.) The woman helping me disagreed with several of my ideas but remained unbiased. Her assistance was exceptional. My suits required minimal tailoring. I look professional WITHOUT a false appearence.
Pros: Superior selection, Superior staff, Old stock= Lowest $
Cons: , are sold very fast , Parking & change room

This store is the type of place that the women themselves go to, if you want to wow me, or basically any 'chic' lady, go to somewhere that isn't a discount store. I'm not saying that Filene's Basement isn't great, but I definitely wouldn't want a gift from there.
Pros: Easy, Accessible
Cons: not great quality, messy at times

Where else can you find Corneliani men's suits for $299.50, Armani Collection suits for $599.00, Ermenegildo Zegna suits for $524.25 and Canali suits for $399.00? If you have the order shipped out of state, there is no sales tax charged. Compared to shopping at Barney's New York, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue, you get three or four top quality men's suits at Filene's Basement for the price of one at the name stores. By the way, the prices on men's furnishings and other clothing items are similarly discounted.

Ok, so maybe I haven't been shopping there since birth, but I might as well have. I rant and rave about Filenes Basement and can never live without it. I am a bargain shopper fanatic and refuse to pay alot for clothes, unless it is really worth it. I have found the most amazing Calvin Klein, BCBG, Fendi, Gruppo Italiano, etc. clothes that normally would have cost me hundreds of dollars. There is no reason to even give a good review because everyone know that this IS the best store!
Pros: variety, Price, Price

This is the original Basement! I've found Coach briefcases and duffle bags less than 75% off of their retail prices, as well as some major designer clothes and home goods significantly less than what one would find in the retails stores. Patience is required for shopping here... and you definitely have to dig... but the bargains are there!
Pros: Bargains, Variety, Designer Products
Cons: Disorganized, No parking, Sometimes crowded
