Big bad changes

by Tiff70176 at Citysearch

We used to drive out of our way for Town Spa Pizza. The last several times the pizza has taken longer than they said, and was cold and greasy. How can it be late and cold. It must be sitting on a table out back.

The staff that used to be so friendly is surly and unhappy. Somethings changed over the last 2 years.

Thier Pizza

by brianjw at Citysearch

I think they have the worst, greasiest pizza you can find except for cape cod cafe. sorry for the 1 star I pressed it by accident. You pizza lovers who think that is good pizza should try APPLOL'S IN CANTON That is the best pizza and best of all they are not GREASY and the crust is light, flaky and crunch...YUMMMMMMMM.

  • Pros: none
  • Cons: pizzas

Incredible

by dblahut at Citysearch

This pizza shop is very close to me, only about 3 miles. I have always lived close to it, and it has always been my favorite pizza. Nothing else can be said, seriously the pizza is awsome. My favorites are hamburger, linguisa, and peperoni. If you are looking for another great pizza place close to here, Deninos is great. These two places wil always be my favorite. Deninos is great, but very greasy. That doesn't bother me at all, if you can do the grease ... DEFINATELY at least give it a shot, especially hamburger

  • Pros: Take out, and nice dine-in
  • Cons: A little Expensive, and only take cash

Big Bust

by slmkl at Citysearch

Having been to Town Spa in the past and enjoying it, we drove for a half hour to get pizza. We haven't paid with anything but cash so it was a shock to hear that they don't take credit cards. Instead, you get to use the ATM that the Stoughton bank charges a fee of $1.50 and my bank charged $1.50. That would be fine if the prices at the Town Spa were a bargain but they aren't. A bar pizza with a topping is costing you over eight bucks. No deal there. Even still, if it were to die for then they could justify the cost and inconvenience but IT'S NOT. The pizza was way too cooked at the edge with white, floppy crust on the under side. Add to that the fact that we had a waitress with zero personality and you can guess that we won't ever go back and the advice that we have is to skip it and go some place that is at least consistent like Papa Gino's. Next time I plan on trying my hand at making one at home. It can't be worse.

  • Pros: family oriented dining
  • Cons: not worth the drive or the price for the substandard food

Better than your average pizza

by livestoeat at Citysearch

I picked up some pizzas from Town Spa Pizza over the weekend. The one thing that I really liked about their pizzas was that they were generous with their toppings - unlike a number of national chains and local pizzerias. I did find it a little greasy, but the crust was nice and crisp (not burnt) as I had asked them for extra crispy crust. They do say (on the box) that the pizza contained MSG - just FYI.

  • Pros: Generous toppings
  • Cons: contains MSG

Over Rated

by Tuffapples at Citysearch

I have heard a lot about Town Spa so today I took the trip from Millis over to Stoughton. I felt the pizza was very average bar pizza, not worth the price very small. I also don't feel 3 dollars for a draft is a good deal either. Same as Lynnwood's and basically the same as all the bar pizza I have tried. If you are going to go out of your way for good pizza visit Regina in the north end or make the trip to New Haven CT for some Pepe's. Also Ernesto's in the North End is also great.

  • Pros: None really, lots of tvs....
  • Cons: Over rated pricey pizza

TOWN SPA RULES

by truckereric at Citysearch

grew up about 2 miles away in Sharon & have been going to the "SPA" ever since I can remember.a right on BAY Rd & a left on Plain St & you were there (the new one).I'll always like the original place best, although the current location has it's own charm. Whether the whole family went on Sunday nites or WE got it to go,it was always a treat. As a kid I enjoyed all the taxidermy on the walls & remember the old men sitting @ the bar drinking drafts.been to all 48 states as a truck driver @ there's some real good pizza out there, but nothing like the "SPA".Town Spa pizza is unique @ the best I've ever had. I recommend the double cheese @ linguica!!!!! my parents went there in the late 50's when they were dating, dad said it was cool way back then.So if you've never been ,check it out !!!

  • Pros: best pizza on earth
  • Cons: sometimes a line

Best.Pizza.Ever.

by shoefiend at Citysearch

This is the best pizza ever made, if you get it thin crust, crispy. It's bar style pizza, the place has tons of TVs and a large round bar and 2 dining rooms. I have never had bar style pizza this good anywhere else. The Greek salads are better than Christo's too.

  • Pros: Food
  • Cons: Busy on weekends
