I have been to numerous high end salons on newbury street, lexington, etc. Tigers Den Salon in Reading is the most professional salon I have ever been to. The owners Laura and Michael are very trendy and professional. I first had a new cut done by Laura who was recommended as a precision cutter and she was unbelievable, fast and very talented. I also got my friend to go who got in with Michael. She is in love with his styling and color ability(and she is picky). I even went to a wedding where I had Kerri do an updo and was amazed by her talent. Did not look like a prom up do but a natural soft up do. She is amazing. I feel that this salon should get recognized for what it is, a neat, and clean, professional salon that is stacked with talent. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Pros: talent, professionalism, trendy, talent, talent, talent!

Yes, my number one priority is ALWAYS getting my hair to look exactly the way I want it. Especially because I work in the beauty industry myself. But in addition to a precision cut and color, the dynamic of the staff makes my visits such a fun place to be. Getting to go back is the only reason I can say I look forward to getting roots... -JD

I love Michael.... I have been to many salons hoping to find someone that cuts my hair the way I want...... I finally found Michael. I have even been to supposed awesome salons on newbury and they do not compare. I have thick kinda long hair with layers. He cut my hair perfectly... exactly the way I wanted it. LOVE HIM!!!!!!

Pros: not too expensive, very friendly, just awesome

Cons: hmmm none that i know of

I have been going here for a few years, everyone is nice and the stylists are fantastic and skilled but everytime I have gone in the last couple months the price has been more and more for the same service. The last time it was much more so I was shocked and didnt feel I got anything extra infact I asked for the same thing as last time and that was not even two months prior. I spoke up with no good response told the prices have gone up. Well with todays world I cant be paying $165 -$200 that includes 20% tip every 6-8 weeks for a hightlight and cut. So sad I have to give Tigers Den up! I wish them well.

Pros: Great Service, Skilled Staff, FREE PARKING!

Cons: getting too expensive.

Valine was wonderful. I not only got a great cut, she gave me a new recipe to substitute barbecue chips for bread crumbs when making mac & cheese. She also gave me tips on decorating my apartment along with how to get into shape. There is plenty of parking and the staff was very congenial. Prices are good and when you consider the added value of advice you can't beat them.

DON'T consider this website when looking for a good hairdresser!!! I went to 2 hairdressers ranked by this web as one of the best. First one was in Boston and that was compliete disaster. I erased their name from my memory. Another one was Tiger Den Salon in Saugus. I made appointment with Danielle since she had such a great reviews but it was one big dissapoitment. I was relying on her professionalism and ask her for help in choosing color and cut but that was a mistake. The color completly does not match my skin tone and haircut looks like the ones from 80's. She definetly doesn't know the latest styles and technics in hairstyling. If I only knew good hairdresser that could fix my hair now :(( Well there is one good thing about that all - now I know not to look for good hairdressers on the web. If you know any other way let me know !!! Meg

I was tired of my current hair style and salon and wanted to try something new and trendy. I was referred by a co worker to Valerie at Tiger's Den. What a great experience. It was the best hair cut I have ever had. I have returned many times and now have Valerie foil my hair as well. She is a true artist. The salon stafff is friendly and efficient. I look forward to my visits there. It's a win win situation, you must try.

Pros: Professional, friendly atmosphere. Plenty of parking

The 1st and 2nd time I went for a haircut, it went well. Mind you, it was nothing special and the cut was very simple. The third time I went, I thought I went to a butcher shop. After being there the two times, I thought "Hey, she's not bad. Maybe I'll ask for a specific style". Well, this cut was a bit more complicated and it's not the type of cuts she usually does. Needless to say, I am on the hunt for a new place and someone to fix my hair. I do have to say though, the staffs are so friendly but the haircut, not so great. And in the end, it's the haircut that counts.

Pros: Good parking, Friendly Staff

Cons: Not very salon feel, Average skilled

Tigers Den in Reading is the best salon in the Boston area. Laura has been cutting hair for over 20 years and is up to date on the latest styles and color, she never misses a beat. Everyone needs to check out Tigers Den in Reading, MA.

Pros: Great Parking, No attitude, Best Stylists
