Awesome food and fun atmosphere

My boyfriend and I never agree on food so I was pleased to find a place that does both sushi/Japanese and buffalo wings well. I couldn't believe it was possible! We have a hard time finding good wings or sushi in Boston that doesn't break the bank. This place is reasonably priced and has a fun vibe. The bartender was friendly and we were able to watch the Sox Game on huge screens.
- Pros: Great sushi, great wings

Attended this bar last weekend and its great. Very nice atmosphere and great food.
I go out most weekends so this was a pleasant surprise in allston. The decor is beautiful and the sound system is really good. Def a gem in a place like allston.
I would def attend this lounge again and will recommend it to my friends
- Pros: greaty atmosphere and location
- Cons: young crowd
Flashy lounge satisfies Allston scenesters with its worthy sushi and pan-Asian vibe.

A trendy décor, plus loud house music and flashy lights, yield a clubby feel to Privus. That said, the Japanese dishes served within are not just a side note. Diners can sit at the bar, in a booth in the spacious dining area, or near the huge front windows that open onto bustling Brighton Avenue. The menu consists of Japanese classics and sushi with innovative fusion dishes such as yellowtail and jalapeno with a citrus jus. Large and artfully prepared rolls run the gamut from standard maki to unheard of combinations (the volcano maki combines kimchee, mozzarella, and saffron). A full bar offers a range of beers, sake, champagne cocktails, and standard mixed drinks. Though not a traditional japanese restaurant, Privus's menu proves it's not just a lounge.
