I thought the staff was wicked nice! like they were just really friendly and they really did everything to my expectations. I got my eyebrows waxed and they did come out how I wanted, and I really liked them. My friend went as well but she said that it wasn't done to her suggestions. She did like them though. The ZEN feeling really made it feel awesome. It was a really great place and they definitely put their "hearts" into it. Thank you very much! I will definitely come again!!

Pros: Ambience

Cons: Parking

The spa atomosphere was beautifully decorated. The nail tech was a high school student with one month experience--why do spas do that?. I suppose if you have never had a manicure or pedicure before you might think it was average. This nail tech barely touched my cuticles, missed several spots with the polish and did not know how to massage your feet. The pedicure was so lame---when it came to scrub my heals she went so lightly that it tickled. This was one of the worst manicure and pedicures I have ever experienced. When you receive a great pedicure you feel as if you have had a one-hour massage. Not the case in this situation. Would not recommend this place for manicures or pedicures.

Cons: Staff are not experienced

It is our wish that clients talk to the manager if dissatisfied with his/her service to give us the opportunity to make things right. I invite this reviewer to call and ask for Leah to arrange for another mani/pedi with Diane. RE: Erika.... it is true she is a newbie.. but experienced nail techs are nowhere to be found!

It was the BEST facial ever! Leah never tried to push facial products. She helped me with skincare questions, and gave me samples of products to try. The facial itself was relaxing and I loved the arm, neck and shoulder massage. I will return as often as I can!

Pros: Great service

Cons: None!!!

I go to Leah for a facial once a season (I'm a teacher, so I treat myself during the school vacations)... it is SO worth it. Leah does an outstanding job - never rushes - gives you some pointers but has NEVER pushed a product on me. The minute I walk into Tranquility, it's like walking into a whole other world... and I never feel awkward. Thanks! I'll be back for April vacation.

Hi! Can I just tell everyone that the staff and services offered at Tranquility exceeded my highest expectations? I think I will. We searched for a spa that would host a party of 9 women for my “birthday month”. I think that every woman, especially this one, who has a bit of a diva in her, should feel entitled to have a birthday month. When I visited the website, I marveled at how low the prices were. I was thinking to myself, “What’s wrong with it?” It turns out the answer was ZILCH. What I liked best about the website was that it has blurbs about all the staff except for its newest member Erika (spelling?). Leah was very accommodating towards my friends and me. She handled everything from making sure our private party was private, providing a nice choice of Rosé and Sauvignon Blanc, per my request. We even had some cancellations within our group; yet in still, she maintained a great aura of professionalism throughout all of the craziness, which was super on her part. I booked the Ultimate Day at the Spa package and had a blast. I know great skin care treatment when I see it, as I run my own home-based beauty product business, and the 1 hour facial that I received from Leah was phenomenal! I also indulged myself in the paraffin hand treatment, and my goodness heavens, I couldn’t stop touching myself afterwards (take it where you will). Jen provided my deep tissue massage incorporated with a hot stone treatment, and let me just tell you that I made a new friend in my dearest Jen-i-pooh! I loved this spa so much that I decided to book and pay for my next appointment on the spot (which is so not like me). My ride cancelled on me at the last minute for that appt. and I didn’t care. I took the #71 bus from Harvard Sq. Station. I will be moving at the end of the month, but not before I part-take in another day like the one I had in mid-February. I’d like to thank them for making ¼ of my “birthday month” very special.

Pros: The ambience (pronounced Ahhhhm-beee-annnnce dahling), staff, quality of service, location - Take the BUS!

Cons: -__- You didn't read my review, did you?

I decided to test out the underarm wax as an option for a summer bride who loves to do the YMCA. The scene from 40-year old virgin was what I was expecting - I was SO nervous before going I was shakey. Leah was fabulous! She chatted like we were old friends hanging out on the couch despite the fact that I was topless and disgustingly hairy. When it came to waxing, she didn't try to surprise me and she didn't focus too much - she let me take a breath in while talking, then RIP!...and presssss. The technique literally made it (almost) painless. I bragged of my bravado to my friends like it was no big deal (....thanks to Leah). I'm totally going back.

Pros: super easy parking, I got a goody bag for being a first-time customer

I took advantage of their $10 eyebrow wax with the purchase of a facial (regular price is $18). This place has a lot of advantages: * Convenient parking lot across the street (behind the CVS), as well as some on street parking. * The 57 bus from Kenmore to Watertown Square will drop you off nearby as well. * Really pleasant atmosphere, very clean and well-designed, but cozy, with soft white walls and quiet music * They keep the place warm even on a cold, rainy March morning, which is great--there's nothing worse than stripping down for a massage and freezing. Staff is friendly over the phone and in person--didn't give me the hard sell, either. * Prices are low to average for Boston. (One might expect them a little lower, since it's Watertown, not Newbury St., but the overall experience was good enough that I'm not arguing much.) Lyndyn did my facial and wax; she was friendly and made it a great overall experience--my eyebrows especially came out wonderfully. I'm definitely coming back!

Pros: love the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff

Cons: prices could be a *little* lower, but still great overall!

This was just my second professional massage, but it was much better than the one I had at a much more expensive place in Newton Centre. I got the relaxation package with Donna (1 hr massage, 1/2 hr reflexology). It was great. I only waited a short time in the lobby, and everyone was friendly. Just a warning: There is plenty of parking in the lot behind CVS, but it's all meters. Many of the meters have a 2 hr limit, so pay attention if you're going in for a spa package that will take longer than that.

Pros: Staff, price

Cons: Parking meters

FYI, the meters with the blue post are good for up to 8 hours. Also, just let the staff know which car isyours and we will be happy to check on your meter for you.

I'm so happy that I have found some place to go for all my beauty treatments. I had a massage with Jen, mani-pedi with Diane, mini facial and bikini with Leah. All the services were done on time. My last place left me waiting at least 15 min. The place is beautiful inside.

Pros: Clean and on time with the appointments

Cons: none

I've got really problematic skin - so Leah spent over and hour working on my skin and I could just feel the difference when I left there. Furthermore, this was the first facial I've ever gotten where they didn't try to push products on me. Leah gave me a bag filled with free samples to last me for weeks and didn't try to rope me into buying a thing. It was wonderful and I'm scheduled to go back next month! Definitely go here for wonderful customer service, excellent skin care and respectful people!!
