This man is a genius...

As a Style Editor for a national publication, I've been to hundreds of salons and had my hair cut, colored, highlighted, foiled, frosted, razored, burned (yes, burned- "cut" using the flame of a candle- gross), treated, conditioned, and more from LA to NY and everywhere in between. I still go to LA bi-monthly, where I have the opportunity to get anything done to my hair that I want- for free. And yet I'd much rather go to Brandon.

I love Brandon because not only is he a fabulous stylist, he doesn't have the 'Newbury stylist attitude' that screams "I think I should be in NY, but I'm not because I'm blessing you all with my presence." He's amazing, he knows it, but he's not an a**hole.

I also love the salon- the decor, the other stylists, and especially the receptionist and assistants. Fabulous AND friendly- imagine that!?!

Short answer: Brandon Keith Salon rocks. (And for making me the most amazing blonde in the city, Brandon is my GOD!)

• Pros: High end product (i.e. stylists) in a more relaxed atmosphere.
• Cons: Parking can be a byatch, but just come early...

Best haircut and blow out for curly hair!

The first time I went to Brandon Keith I had my hair blown out straight (I have curly hair) - and Brandon did the BEST job. I have had my hair straightened many times but he actually made it look exactly the way I wanted (for the first time in my life) and made the whole process fun.

I have now had my hair cut by Brandon twice, and both times he did an amazing job. First of all, he listened to me, second he cut it exactly how he said he would - the length, the layering, etc - and third, both times it looked fantastic. He is consistent, gives me a perfect hair cut, is a great guy, and I trust him completely.

And, everyone I have ever interacted with at the studio has been terrific and made for an all around awesome experience. All in all, I have felt 100% taken care of and am 100% satisfied by my experience there. I highly recommend going there if you can't tell!

• Pros: Amazing haircut, blow out, relaxed fun environment
• Cons: Maybe price, but it's Newbury Street and worth the price!

Best Salon on Newbury

I was lucky enough to get an appointment with Brandon without a wait and I'm so glad I went! Not only was everyone friendly and I felt comfortable, Brandon listened to what I wanted for my cut and color. I have never been more pleased. I have been to many salons on Newbury and all over the state and have never been as happy as I am with my hair. I will definitely return. Thanks Brandon! :)

Totally awesome

I decided upon this salon for my special prom haircut after it was recommended to me by a friend. I showed up with a basic idea of what I wanted, but pretty much no color plans. This was no problem, though, as Brandon was great at both doing the cut I wanted, and deciding on an amazing color scheme. This was by far the best haircut I've ever had, and well worth the price. I'll definately have to come back, even if I have no special events to look especially amazing for.

The Best in Boston!!!

My sister has been going to Melissa for over 10 years and is always telling me how she can't live with out her. When I was looking to change things up and try a new cutting edge bob, I decided to make the trip to Newbury Street for an appointment with Melissa... I was not disappointed... Melissa not only gave me the best cut I have ever had, but I now have strangers stopping me and friends asking who cut my hair. I also had a deep conditioning treatment which was out of this world. Thank you Melissa for living up to everything my sister said you would be... You’re the BEST!!!!

AWESOME!!

after researching high and low throughout boston for a new stylist i happen to come across brandon keith salon and after much deliberation i decided to give him a whirl.i could not be more happier! the staff was super friendly, and down to earth, the salon was very edgy and modern but still very intimate and personable. brandon himself was just a gem - a complete artist. not only is he extremely talented but very interested in your own style and how he can incorporate that into your hair. i gave him the freedom to cut and color what he thought was going to look great on me intime for the spring and the finish product was dynamite!!! highly recomended!!! and he is very handsome too!!

Overall Fantastic Experience/Best BlowOut

First of all, Brandon does the best blowout ever. He did exactly what I had envisioned but didn't think any one would every really get right (I have had my hair done this way before, always good but not quite what I had envisioned). I was even complimented by a news anchor woman - who I imagine is familiar with getting her hair professionally done - at the event I attended among many other compliments I received throughout the evening. But almost equally as important in my mind is that I was treated so well. Megan, the woman who washed my hair was great with me, Brandon was great with me, and Karla, the makeup artist offered her expertise generously. I highly recommend going here if you are off to an event and looking to look and feel great! I also imagine you would get a great hair cut here, although I did not have that done.

Leon Brown: Hair Guru

My roommate had been going to Leon for a few years while she was in college and has been a faithful client to this very day. She even followed him from his old salon to Brandon Keith's Hair. I took her raving recommendation and tried out the salon and Leon and I have not regretted my decision since. I don't trust just anyone with my Asian hair, but he knew exactly how to handle it and gave me the best and most stylish haircut & color I've ever had! He gives me the cut I want and doesn't pressure me into wearing a hair style I"m not comfortable with. He even trims my bangs for free between cuts; can't beat that in this economy! I've had my fair share of crappy haircuts and dealt with stylists that treat their clients as a factory worker treats a product on an assembly line, but Leon is so personable and professional that I've officially made him my only Boston hair stylist that I'll go to.

• Pros: great atmosphere, fun & hip vibe, excellent staff
• Cons: my hair doesn't grow fast enough to be cut all the time!

Jacqui is the Best Colorist I've ever used!

I followed Jacqui to BrandonKeithHair because she is an artist with color. I'll admit it--my hair is turning gray. As it has changed over the past few years, she has worked with the formula so it always looks great! My hair is often complimented on by strangers!!! I really love going to this salon too. Everyone is very friendly and the place is beautiful!

Jacqui and Brandon Keith are awesome!

I admit, I follow Jacqui around wherever she's working--she's that good. But it's really nice to see that she has found a salon that can complement her talents. The place is beautiful, the staff friendly, and the location is excellent. But if you're worried about the Newbury St. location, don't; the cost is reasonable and there is no pretension here. Always professional, and always get what I ask for. Recommended!

Orestes & Whole Salon are Great!!

I've had some great experiences at Brandon Keith. Orestes always does an amazing job - he has a friendly personality, always listens to what I want and gives constructive input. I genuinely trust his work. The atmosphere is upbeat and modern, yet relaxing. I'll be a longtime customer!
