Just left The Boston Color Group and my hair has never looked this great! Nicole exceeded my expectations - she did a fantastic job. Before I went in the top of my head was brighter than the bottom and my layers didn’t flow well. I wanted that natural sunburst California blonde. Nicole sat with me while we discussed my options and she really led me in the right direction. This is the natural blonde color I have always wanted and the cut is so stylish. There was no pressure to buy her products even though i walked out with new stuff. I will be honest; I am one of the pickiest people when it comes to my hair and have tried multiple salons. Now I have finally found the best colorist in Boston! Thank you Nicole!!!
Pros: Great colorist, easy parking, moderate prices

Very happy with my haircut and deep condition. Nicole cared about the condition of my hair and it's health more than any other stylist I've visited. She gave me great tips on styling and helped me understand how split ends are caused and they can be prevented. She did a wonderful job, I love my hair and I recommend her to all my friends and family.
Pros: Experienced staff

Tonight I visited BCG for the2nd time for a highlight. The 1st highlight I had was with Nicole, and she gave me the whitish blonde (as opposed to orangish), highlights I've always yearned for. She suggested I also add another color for lowlights, and it turned out FABULOUS. In between visits (8 months), I dyed my hair at home twice with brown dye. I went back today for an appointment with Bimala. There was ample parking, and I walked in and sat down to get my foils in. Bimala isn't the type that you have to force small-talk with, so I caught up on Britney's latest exploits. There were four other girls in the salon getting their hair done (which says something, doesn't it?), so we chatted easily. Within about an hour I was ready to get rinsed and dried. Once I started drying my hair (I don't like to pay if I'm not going anywhere, but it wasn't awkward, rather it was very comfortable and natural like I was at a friend's house, and she was showing me her best products), I saw that the color wasn't blonde enough, and that my hair, except for the roots, looked largely the same. Normally I'd su*k (bad word apparently) it up and never go back, but I liked this place so much, I screwed up my courage, and I told them, "um..I think I need toner; it looks pretty much the same." It wasn't akward at all, and Nicole immediately said, "sit tight, and I'll freehand some more color through it." Initially, I had told Nicole I LOVED my color, meaning what she had done the last time I saw her. She had thought I meant the color I currently had, so she asked Bimala to match my roots to the lighter ends of my hair. It was a TOTAL miscommunication, but I had to laugh because it was so ironic: she had done EXACTLY what I told her I wanted. She stayed an additional two hours, and didn't charge me for what was really my fault. She's awesome to talk to, she's fun, she doesn't try to sell services or products, nothing is ever awkward, and she does GREAT hair. Run, don't walk!

I've been following Nicole for about six years now, and can't see why I would ever let anyone else cut or color my hair. She has it down to a science, especially if you've had trouble with color in the past. She really knows how to use color products to produce exactly what you want. You won't walk out with what SHE wanted for your hair, you'll get what YOU wanted, although she does provide assistance and help for you to decide what will look best on you. She is also a precise yet artful cutter of hair...you'll look like you got the best cut on Newbury Street. An added bonus: she's terrific with children, making them feel right at home and comfortable so that they'll actually sit still. She's made my four-year-old look adorable! Nicole is friendly, professional, and very talented. Go see her; you won't be sorry.
Pros: Skill with color and cut, good parking and location

I have been going to Nicole for eight years (for color and haircuts) and every time I leave the salon I am so happy with my hair! Nicole is an amazing colorist and an awesome stylist (like no one else I have ever been to, in or around Boston). She is always helpful with suggestions if you are looking to make a change in your style or color. Boston Color Group is open very extended hours (early and late), which works out great for people who have busy schedules. Nicole is always on time and has a very pleasant, friendly and upbeat manner. You will love your trip to Boston Color Group -- it's a five star experience. :-)
Pros: On time, great products, great skills
Cons: None

I just came from Nicole for the fourth time. The boston color group is a relaxed fun enviroment to be in. Nicole is very nice and she can give you just the style you want. When I first wanted highlights I told her what I wanted and she listened carefully and I got the style I wanted perfectly the first time. I e-mail her all the time for advice about what and what not to do with my hair and she always gives me an exelent thorough reply answering all of my questions. If your frustrated with your hair and want a different look, Nicole is the perfect person to go to. The prices are great and you'll have a really fun time. If you chose to ignore this, then you're missing out completely!!! Go to Nicole to get the exact style you always wanted, and she will give it to you :-)
Pros: Great Service, Always on time, great prices (not too expensive) great staff and great enviroment!
Cons: NONE! :-)

After trying many different high-end places downtown for blonde highlights, I just went to Nicole for the first time. She is extremely nice and was very careful with my hair. She really listened to what I wanted, then blended my highlights/lowlights perfectly. The atmosphere is totally relaxed...no pretentions at all. And there was no pressure to do anything that I did not want. I 've finally found a home for my hair!
Pros: fantastic highlights, flexible schedule, great care
Cons: if you're looking for a sleek uppity place, this place might not be for you, but you'd be silly to miss out

I had Nicole cut my hair once when my other hairdresser was away. Nicole did such a fantastic job that I'm switching to her full time. In fact, when I went back to my previous hairdresser after Nicole cut/colored my hair, my previous hairdresser was astonished. Couldn't believe what a nice job "someone else" had done. Nice compliment from a Newbury Street salon owner. Her salon is easy to get to, lots of parking - much better than making the trek downtown. I'm delighted to have found her.

I first started going to see Nicole when I was fourteen years old, she has done everything to my hair from straightening, coloring, even to doing my hair for prom. Everytime I go to see her I know I'm getting the best. The updo she did for me for prom was AMAZING to say the least, and stayed together the entire night. I can trust her judgement as a stylist and a friend when I need an opinion on something new I am thinking of trying. She knows just about everything there is to know about hair so I never hesitate to ask her questions, whether I'm in seeing her or not i know I can call anytime I need to. Infact, when i tried dying my hair myself once and it was a disaster, I called her and she told me exactly what I needed to do to keep my the color from sinking in. I have every intention of continuing to see her even when I come home on vacation from college. If you want someone who knows it all, then she is the BEST.
Pros: She knows everything, she's great at treating everyone's hair for its own individual needs.
