Great room with a nice view. You don't think of hotel restaurants as a great place to go, especially for French food. Miel may be the exception as the service, decor, and food are great. I studied in Montpellier, Aix en Provence, and toured around Nice and Cannes, so the goal of this restaurant pulls at my heart. The food served in Provence didn't exactly match the offerings at Miel, but what Miel serves is delicious regardless.

The meal started out with fantastic bread, we took advantage of Restaurant Week Boston, and tried a few of the options. All of us at the table mentioned how much we liked the restaurant and the food.

On an aside I have heard that the Intercontinental Hotel plans to install a Petanque court outsde, and that should be a fun in the warmer weather. The patio tables with a nice pastis will surely be a treat.

Give Miel a try, I hope to return.…

What an Incredible Experience!. My Husband and I had an incredible TASTING MEAL, last night, and I must say we were so delighted with the service, the atmosphere, and we cannot rave more about how wonderful the food was presented and tasted. Our palates had a party!

Taste of Provence at Miel. Smoked Salmon was as expected, smoky and salty sweet, served napoleon style with layers of crepe separating the salmon tartare. The smoked salmon roe was a nice addition and made me crave it more. The three briny eggs were too lonesome and needed more company.

Swordfish was served carpaccio style and tomato water was like a consome served hot and cooking the thinly sliced swordfish. The raisin-caper stuffing had toasted pine nuts, but the sweetness of the raisins overpowered the delicate flavor of the swordfish and tomato. Interesting idea though.

The peach tart was nice and surprising addition of honey ice cream was a bonus. Shame that the restaurant/hotel does not make its own ice creams and has them made to order.

The surprise came from the honey. I've tasted acacia and clover honeys before, but never chestnut honey. The flavor was intense and reminded me of burnt sugar and bourbon together. Amazing! All in all , thanks to Miel for hosting this taste of Provence.…

French versalles fashion show. I was kind of thrown off by the name 'brasserie' All I kept thinking was of a 'bra'. I was very empressed by the Costume characters that were walking around outside. That was a wonderful french touch and a great idea. The costume were of Marie Antonette and Louie Auguste and the whole court I guess. They were extemely the most beautiful costumes I have ever seen. I asked one of the models where they got them and she said, Bruna Costumes in Prov R.I.. I guess they rent them or make them there. Anyhow, the food was excellent and the service was wonderful.…

Best French Restaurant. I was so surprise about this restaurant! I spent 2 years in Aix en Provence studying when I was younger, the decor of Miel is exactly like Provence. It's a beautiful place. We went on a quiet night for my husband birthday. I notified on open table that he was his bday, they sent a cake for him for dessert! The server was so attentive and nice. I loved it!

The food was really good: The chicken Mentonaise was really good, and my husband steak was perfect... the fries?? With Truffle!

A touch a Provence a short walk from Southie!? Amazing!. Exquisite! We have dined here twice and the 2nd meal was better than the first. I hesitate to write this review as I would like to keep it as our secret spot! Dining outside by the channel and torch light is special enough, but add in exceptional service and delicious french food and you have the recipe for a great meal. On par with meals I have eaten in Paris and Provence. Leave room for the very well thought out and mouthwatering desserts.…

BEST LATE NIGHT EVER!!!. I didn't have anywhere to go coz I was hungry at 1.30 am. Then I saw this resto from this website!! GOSH!!! It's the best ever... The appetizer was great... the meal and the desert as well..... My friend and I spent 100 USD only. I don't think it's that bad for an UPSCALE restaurant. The waiter was very nice! Everything was nice.... You feel like a queen... I really don't regret my time and money there... I left aroun 4.30 am from there with a very very very happy feeling!!!!!!!!!!!!…

Food is great, service is excellent, nice room. Have been to this new restaurant twice and been thoroughly impressed both times. First time was on a whim on Valentine's Day, during which they served a special menu. Each of the several courses was excellent and beautifully presented. The server was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable.

The next time was on a typical weekday evening and the regular menu was just as good. French food served properly and authentically and attractively. Again, the server, a different one from our first visit, was excellent and extremely helpful and courteous.

Overall, a completely pleasant place to spend an evening, particularly if you appreciate legit French food and are tired of all the restaurants out there serving "authentic" fare, while obviously never having been to France. Definitely go to Miel!…

highly recommended. My girlfriend and I had a great time in Miel. The menu is very unique for Boston. It reminded me of my holidays in Provence. Food quality and presentation are amazing. We had a seafood platter that was very fresh! then we tried a few dishes that had a honey base. It was delicious. Service is not stuffy and very friendly. If you want a quiet table, ask to be seated in the far end of the dining room as the Rumba Bar is alway busy (which is great + good music). It is definitely the new hot spot in Boston…
