Great selection, helpful salespeople

I just popped in to Jean Therapy this Saturday as the first stop on my quest for perfect jeans and left with two pairs. I did not find the two women working to be pushy at all--just extremely enthusiastic about finding a great fit for every woman. The woman helping me (I'm not sure of her name, but she seemed to be the boss) was very intuitive about what I was looking for since I wasn't able to articulate it well. She also made some great suggestions that I might not have initially went for. Both women gave me a pile of jeans and were keen to see how each one looked. I felt like they really cared about making women look good and understood that if you're going to spend $150 - $200 on jeans, you should spend some time on it. I never like I had to buy something, and if I hadn't found the perfect pair, I wouldn't have (that's too much money to spend if you're not 100%). She was an accomplished salesperson - knowledgeable, enthusastic, and good at reading people. She never employed the hard sell because with those skills she doesn't have to. I would definitely recommend Jean Therapy if you are looking to invest in some quality denim--you will get attentive service and most likely a great pair of jeans.
- Pros: Great service and selection; knowledgeable and friendly salespeople
- Cons: expensive; not for you if you're just looking for a regular pair of jeans
really pushy

Pros: really good selection of jeans.
Cons: very pushy salespeople, limited range of sizes
I went in looking for the ultimate pair of jeans - the not-too-distressed, not-too-boring pair. The staff discouraged me from even trying on some pairs (although that could have been because my size - 26 - wasn't in stock). After trying on all kinds of blinged-out jeans that were completely not my style, I ended up leaving with a pair that pretty much fit the bill. I was assured that the jeans (again no size 26) would stretch a bit as premium jeans do. As suggested, I wore them at home for several evenings, and they never stretched at all. I went back to return them (no refunds, just exchanges), and went through the whole process again with a different staff person. In frustration I finally left with a $200 pair that is related to what I hoped for, but still far from that perfect pair. I have no intention of returning yet again to the hard sell, so I guess I'm stuck with them.
Be prepared to have your favorite premium brands insulted if they don't carry them, and be prepared to have them try to talk you into the wrong size when they don't have the right one.
- Pros: good (not great) selection
- Cons: pushy
Great Customer Service
by Hillary17
Leah is great! I bought a pair of kasil jeans at jean therapy, only to have them rip a week later. I was super bummed and when i went back to the store to complain, they did take the jean back and replace them, but they were out of my size so they had to call the company and get the new jean sent to me. i was a little skeptical because I had to leave my jeans with them and what would happen if they got loss? i mean i'd have no evidence that i got the jeans there. i left my number as well and asked the sales girl if the owner could call me so i knew that everything was taken care of. leah called and left a message apologizing about the jeans and letting me know that a new pair had been ordered for me and would be hemmed again free of charge. she even left her personal cell phone number so if i had any questions i could reach her directly.
three weeks later, my new jeans came in, they got hemmed perfectly and i love them.
LEAH deserves 5 stars. I was completely blown away from the customer service and follow-up.
Edited: after i read the review below mine, I gotta say I went in using a gift certificate from my husband that was three years old. i'm almost 100% sure that their gift certificates don't expire or at least they have a fairly long shelf life :)
- Pros: Leah, Great Customer Service, Good Selection
- Cons: location
