This is more than a sneaker store. Oliver and the guys at Bodega really try to push the limits of street style. They have cool art and graff books. They have new mix tapes. Most of the mixtapes are really progressive type of music you won't hear in a Boston night club. The store has tons of sneakers for guys and girls. They also have jackets and t-shirts. They pretty much have a lot of cool gear. Check the store out often if possible. Also check out the crazy website. www.bdgastore,com. Talk to the staff about the sneaker designs with other companies. Bodega did a Converse co-op that was pretty dope last year.
Pros: Madd Style
Cons: Too nutty 4 your dad

This place is awesome. Overpriced, but awesome. The selection is pretty good, although they could expand or turnover a little bit. But the entire concept just amazes me. It's what keeps me coming back. It's a shame there are pictures and stories about it on the internet. I wish it would be kept a secret. I saw an episode of "My Super Sweet Sixteen" or whatever it's called on MTV where the girl went there to get something for her party. She said it was a "Store that nobody in Boston knows about". Well, that's a lie. When they had a 75% off sale a couple weeks ago the line was down the street. I love this store though and will keep coming back. Salespeople are very helpful and it's one of the only places around that sells these kinds of clothes.
Pros: Location, concept, clothing style, staff
Cons: Overpriced

Bodega is fantastic. I recently moved to Boston so I heard about this from a friend and decided to check it out for myself. Bodega is great, especially for those of us who are into vintage clothing. The vintage inventory they carry is unique. The sales clerk was really helpful. She was very friendly and let me browse as I wished, without being harassed. This is a great store for the city of Boston. Coming from NYC, where these stores are everywhere, it was nice to see a little bit of home.

After hearing about the Bodega from a friend who lives in Boston, I honestly couldn't believe it. After a little bit of searching with a friend, we found it. We walk in and keep walking towards the soda machine and it slides left to open the boutique section of the store, about 3 times as big as the corner store. The owners are nice, and the set up is awesome. Obviously it's expensive, but it's still great to go and look around. Once I got home I googled 'bodega boston' and found a couple great articles about the place and I'm really interested to see where it goes in the next couple of years.
Pros: unique, clean, friendly
Cons: expensive
