beauty rules has moved again....and the new space is beautiful! they're at the salon at 10 newbury.
same great stuff BR groupies are used to only better...and rachel is still there. she just gave me the most awesome "jewel toned" highlights to bring me into fall!
thanks rachel! you are an artist!
- Pros: rachel -she is always changing it up( even after 10 years as my stylist! i love it!)

I know that Beauty Rules moved into The Salon on Newbury St., but Rachel is no longer working there. I had my hair cut just before the move in April. I called The Salon recently to schedule an appointment with Rachel and they told me she wasn't there any longer. Does anyone know where she went?

I always saw them busy when I would walk down Newbury street (though I work out of town so I wasn't there too often) and kept meaning to go in for a hair cut, but never had any time. I had time the other day and went down there... and they were gone. I guess I waited too long.

i was referred by a friend to see rachel main at beauty rules salon for an update to my hairclor and cut. i am so grateful.i have never been listened to so intently by any hairstylist EVER! the consultation was excellent. she listened to what i had to say and then gently gave her opinion as to what would be the right thing FOR ME,
and did she ever deliver! i have never been so happy, and i have recieved so many compliments on my hair....so thank you rachel...my compliments to you!

After trying many salons on Newbury street and being disappointed, i finally did my homework on the web and liked the comments i found about Beauty Rules Salon, so i gave it a try.... thank you Rachel!!!!!!!!!!!!Best cut and color EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm a client for life!!!!!!!!!!!!

when i go to beauty rules i always leave 110% satsified!!! i've been going there for about a year now and always know that when i ask for something specific that's what i get!!! i also really appreciate the honesty of my stylist. on my first visit i had a picture of a model in a magazine that i liked her haircut. where the model's hair was very thick and my hair tends to be on the fine side, my stylist explained to me that because of the difference in our hair types that we wouldn't get the same result but she sould modify it for my hair type. and i have never been happier!!! BEAUTY RULES!!!!!
- Pros: EXCELLENT QUALITY AND GREAT STAFF!!!
- Cons: that i just can't get enough of beauty rules!!!

This place has it all, stylists that actually know what their doing. Great atomosphere, its a fun place to get a great haircut and everyone that works there is actually nice. I love the Peppermint shampoo they used last time I was there. turns out it's their own brand, so i am going to have to buy some when i go in to see rachel next month. Rachel is great, hasn't messed up my hair once, unlike four other salons on Newbury that I won't name because that would be mean, especially because they are four of the biggest, hint hint. Going to someone else would be like cheating now, thats how much i love Rachel and Beauty Rules.

I love Beauty Rules!! It always reminds me of the tv show Cheers when i am walking in because its ground level and you can see peoples legs and feet as they walk down the stairs. But instead of people yelling "NORM" i just get an awesome haircut so its really not like Cheers at all....But I suggest you leave that snooty salon you're currently going to and try this place out anyways. Richard and Kim rock!!

I got my hair highlighted there and asked for blonde highlights. they came out reddish/organge. It looked absolutely terrible.
