Helen is The Best!!

The attention to detail and knowledge of hairstyling that Helen employs is paramount. She never rushes and and actually talks you through the methods she uses to make your hair the way you want it. Her key technique that stands out from the rest, is that she follows that patterns of how your hair grows and cuts the hair from those patterns. and especially for men shes great with the razor and uses techniques I've never seen before with other hairstylist before I came to her. i've been going to Helen for about a year now and will continute to go to her to have my hair done. - robert

Great experience!

I heard about Shimon from a friend and decided to try them after I moved back from NY and needed a new salon. I was really pleased with my cut and color! I have hard-to-manage hair and my new cut is so easy to work with and looks great. The stylists were friendly and the salon itself was very clean. I will definitely be back!

horrible expierence

this was the worst hair cut I've ever had. I felt like she just took her scissors and was cutting all over the place and didn't know what she was doing. she seemed as if she was in a rush. she kept using all these products in my hair trying to get me to buy them. i think she should be in sales rather than a hair stylist. i paid $70 for nothing which is horrible i could have done a better job myself.

Best Hairstylist

I have been looking for a good hairstylist for a long time. I live by Shimon's salon, so one day I made a appointment where I met this wonderfully talented stylist, her name was Souad. Souad gave me a beautiful haircut. IT was a great expereince. She even advised me on how to self-blowdry and which products I should use. I loved every minute of it !! I reccomend Souad to anyone who has difficulty finding a stylist because she really listened to me. She did wonders to my hair, because my hair is tough to manage.

Julie is gone :(

I tried to make an appt to see Julie. I was told she wasn't there, but Shimon himself said that he would do my hair for the same price that Julie charged (I get partial highlights and a trim), I didn't want to try it, but I was overdue, and I didn't know where else to go. He did a horrible job! He was really messy with the highlights, leaving huge blond dots all over my head. I ended up going somewhere else where they had to highlight and lowlight every strand of my hair to fix the horrible mess he had made. It took them hours to fix!

ps - while there I heard that Julie moved to NH with her boyfriend - if anyone finds her, let me know.

Loving my New Stylist Erika

I use to see Julie and was very sad to see her go and also nervous to try anybody else BUT since the location is so convenient for me I decided to try someone new in the salon.

I tried Erika for cut & color and she did an amazing job! She took her time w/ me and really listened to my needs. So I?m back and loving my hair!

I absolutely love Shimon. Everyone there is super talented and nice. However, my last visit met w/great surprise. My favorite stylist had left!

New Client -Love it

I just moved to the city and was in desperate need of a new stylist and colorist. I saw Erika for both my fully highlight and color. This is by far in years the best highlight and color I have ever had. I have been to several top saloons, Deryl Christophers, Moodz and Stars, and this was the best cut I've had! I continuly keep getting complements. My hair has never been so soft and shiny since. Erika used a gloss which did wonders for my hair. While I was getting my consulation, Shimon came over to check up and see how it was going. He advised and gave his recommendations. There was absolutly no product pushing, which I loved. It was about 40 dollars more than I usually pay, but well worth it. I will be going back, and have convinced my mom to give Shimon's salon a try.

New Client - 100% Satisfied

There really isn't one piece of constructive criticism that I could offer about this salon. After years of trekking to Newbury Street, spending a lot of money and receiving a lot of attitude, Shimon Salon has made getting my hair done an enjoyable experience again. First of all, I found the atmosphere very relaxing (and spotless!). Secondly, I received the best color (thank you Erika) that I can remember. Usually my color starts to fade after a couple of weeks, but it still looks just as good today as it did when I had it done. Erika was very friendly and knowledgeable as far as giving me tips to make the color last longer. She really listened to what I had in mind for the style and then offered a number of different suggestions of how to achieve the look. I am 100% satisfied with my style and color and very happy that I found a permanent hair salon again. Thanks to everyone from Shimon Salon. See you in a few weeks.

Talented and professional, I love the Shimon Salon!

Finally, I found a wonderful salon. It is simply perfect, Shimon is amazingly talented with both cut and color. It's very professional, the atmosphere is so friendly, and the music keeps you groovin all the way till the last snip. Love it, thank you Shimon for your fabulous Salon!
