If you are looking for the worst service in boston then Game On is On for you; unfortunately for rest of us it is Game Off. Last week I was at game on for lunch before attending the sox game, mind you it was 1:00pm and the game was at 7:00, the place was empty, yet it took 20 mins for a waitress to even come to our table to take our drink orders, then another 10 mins to bring us our beers - correct me if I am wrong, but aren't alcoholic drinks the biggest margin for bars, wouldn't you want your patrons to drink as much as they can?????? when the food finally did arrive it wasn't what I ordered, in stead of getting an apology from the waitress I got nothing, oh I will take that off your tab - umm yeah I didn't order it, nor am I going to eat it... wow, you must have to be really smart to work there. The food was garbage at best. Will never go there again, instead go to Beer Works, great beer, great service and good food.
Pros: Beer Works is across the street
Cons: Service, Food, Everything

Maybe u will get over the lazy bouncers that think they are da awesomeness... If u are tryin to go for an international crowd this is not your place. Bouncers think that they can own the place just cuz they are not capable of doing anything else but to reject people. They have no rationality what so ever...they just like to be in charge.
Pros: none
Cons: bitter people thinking they can own you. They dont even communicate with eachother so do not make any sense.

Game On Boston. I have been here a few times, mainly because it close to my work or someone is curious about its newness. The hostesses and wait staff, though pleasant have very little knowledge of their own menu. The website and its menu have never been in sinc. I genuinely try and avoid 'Lame On' as I and many I know refer to it as, as often as possible. Its new, its near Fenway, they have big TVs...but thats about it. The employees are more concerned about talking to one another, or how they look and less about the customer who is waiting...over an hour once for breakfast in an empty restaurant!?! Needless to say our company (party of 8) left that morning without eating. And I believe thay have some wierd in flux time between 10am and like 11-1130am that they dont serve breakfast or lunch? I dunno, just a heads up. Other problems I have had are: take out orders are constantly wrong, was told 'there is no way to apply a tip when using a gift card' (this was on a take out order mind you), and the downstairs is obnoxiously loud. Service is always slow as hell, I can not stress this enough. The lunches I have had are decent, but the entress are waaay over priced, would never have dinner here. If 'Lame On' were a team, it would definitely be in last place and in need of some serious help.
Pros: Close to Fenway
Cons: Service, knowledge and experience

I went to Game On last friday night to watch the start of March Madness. I always thought Game On was only good during RedSox season but friday night was a lot of fun. We split nachos, buffalo wings, and the spinach dip, all were very good. Our waitress was fun too. She came by often enough to fill our beers but wasn't hanging over our shoulder. Everyone seemed to be having a good time...even the staff. It's not often you visit a bar where the staff is having as much fun as the patrons. I will definitely be visiting Game On again! Go Sox!
Pros: 3 Bars and Multiple TVs
Cons: parking

This is the hands down the greatest sports bar in Boston or anywhere else. The staff is great the female bartenders here are super hot, but they are real bartenders not like other place who have good looking staff bot have no clue what they are doing (gypsy revolution felt etc...). Plus the guy bartenders there are wonderfull, funny (sometimes outragessly so Jaimie and Joe work upstairs together and are two of this city's best bartenders and plaffoff each other it is a riot) and know how to make a great cocktail. So if you want great food awesome drinks hot bar staff and a ton of fun go here. Oh yeah they also have evry friggin game on about 100 + tv's
Pros: Sox Games Pats games hot staff
Cons: Sox games get in early for football long lines

I was at Game On New Year's Eve for the second year in a row and had a great time!! The music was awesome and the food and dessert buffet were great. I came in with a group of 12 people and had no problem getting right through the door. We were checked off the list and given a wrist band within 5 minutes of arriving. The staff was awesome and the bartenders always made sure I had a drink in my hand. The vibe in the room was great too. By about 11pm, everyone was dancing downstairs. I look forward to many more parties like this at Game On! It's nice to know there is a place in Boston where you can watch sports and drink beer and then go and dance and party late night.
Pros: great party atmosphere! great service!
Cons: none

Maybe this bar is good on a random night, but on New Years eve they kept everyone outside for 45 minutes before they let anyone in. The issue here is that A. there were only about 20 people in line and B. everyone in line had prepaid for reservations for the New Years party. No real explanation was given by the staff there. Unfortunate.
Pros: Nice Location
Cons: Rude Staff, Rerservations not honored

I used to go here regulary during basketball season and it is a great place to watch a game, have a beer, and flirt with attractive staff. If your game is not on, ask someone to put it on and they will. The menu is so so, all apps are good EXCEPT the wings which are average, nachos with big papi salsa is average, but the cuban sandwich & steak tips are great, salads are good, burgers are good, pizza is average. Some people find it pricey, but I have to disagree, I have been here for 3 hours, had draft beer and apps between 3 people and stayed under $80 with tip. As good as it gets in Kenmore.
Pros: TVs, you can actually hear the game, music during commercials
Cons: average menu

Definately the place to get pumped up before a Sox game. However, eat before you get here. Very limited menu, slightly overpriced at that. I've been a few times before Sox games, and it seems like they play the same videos on the HD tv's downstairs everyday. At that, it was very loud downstairs, and when 6pm rolled around, they DID NOT turn on audio to the Sox pregame. It was on TV, as was many other events, but you couldn't hear it. Instead they played humerous (not to me, as I had seen them there the last time) clips from TV shows, and new music videos. Otherwise, it's a good place to drink. The bar is huge, and they have a bar off to the side (both upstairs & downstairs) where you can get drinks quick. But downstairs, there's only 2 toilets (1 urinal & 1 stall) in the men's bathroom! What's up with that???!!!
Pros: Easy to get a drink
Cons: Very loud

This place is extremely overpriced for the quality and quanity. There are alot better places around Fenway than this price pig.
