Good Vietnamese food

Good atmosphere, reasonable prices. It's well worth visiting if you live in Needham or a surrounding town. There are many comparable options in the downtown Boston area though. 3 of us had 2 soups and a vermicelli dish and the total was about $35. We were all full well before finishing. The soups are full meals and very tasty -- standard Vietnamese cuisine, which is quite different than most other Asian cuisines. They also offer sushi, though we didn't have any. Very good options for children and vegetarians.
- Pros: Wide range of eating options, with good vegetarian choices.
- Cons: None.
Casual suburban Vietnamese restaurant serves a lengthy menu of reasonably authentic fare, plus selections from a diminutive sushi bar.

The Scene
Located just off Needham's town center, in a space that has seen numerous eateries pass through, Pho Pasteur satisfies area families with large portions of affordable Vietnamese cuisine. A pleasant, if quiet, waitstaff delivers fruits concoctions and wildly inexpensive bottles of house wine from a tiny bar, and, besides the nondescript dining room, patrons have the option of sitting at an equally small sushi bar or on a shaded outdoor patio.
The Food
Many first-time customers make the mistake of ordering too many dishes, as most entrees are large enough for two. Straightforward pho (noodle soups) prove popular, and many diners create their own entrees by pairing a meat or fish with any number of vegetables (the lemongrass and bell pepper option leaves tongues tingling). Bowls of vermicelli, topped with grilled meats, shredded lettuce, mint and roasted peanuts, are exceptionally filling. Traditional desserts include chilled Asian fruits and creamy rice pudding.

It maybe of the same name, but it's not the same chain as what used to called Pho Pasteur (now call Le's) It's average Vietnamese food, it's a great option for people living in Needham, Wellesley, and the area, but it's not worth the trip from within Boston. Great sushi options are nice, but the Vietnamese food itself is no where near as good as Le's.
- Pros: Bowls of delicious pho in Needham, no other game in the area
- Cons: There's better places to get better food if you go into Boston.

I went with my parents to Pho Pasteur the other night. I felt very at home and comfortable at the restaurant because the food was great and the servers seemed very friendly. They did an exceptional job serving me and my parents. I loved the twin lobsters especially because it was delicious and fresh, as well as inexpensive.
- Pros: Great Food , Inexpensive, Great service
So good and reasonable!!

Great place for wonderful sushi without having to go into the city. Very affordable. They're also very kid-friendly; our 3 year-old daughter loved the noodle bowl with egg rolls. Highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back and try more of their dishes.
- Pros: good sushi, nice ambience, good parking
- Cons: service is a bit slow

The sourrounding was gorgeous, the seats, floor, and tables are spotless. It's incredible what a little time and effort can produce if ownership is willing to go that extra mile. The wait staffs are friendly and sincere, they made us feel as if we were eating out of our own kitchen. Describing the food as only "delicious" doesn't do it justice. It's a nice combination of Vietnamese Pho and Japanese Sushi. When comparing its prices to a typical resturant in Boston, you can probally feed a family of 6 while only paying for the price of 3.
- Pros: Plenty of parking, Great food, Outstanding service

This Pho Pasteur is a disappointment compared to the Pho Pasteur in the Atrium Mall. The food is not good and was one of the worst I have had. The sushi is worth a try, but doesn't make up for the rest of the items on the menu.
