What a find!
by neatomosquito at Citysearch
We stayed in the Riverside. Large room, tastefully appointed, very very clean, very spacious bathroom, kitchenette sans heating microwave or burners but with coffee maker, table with room enough for at least 4. What more can I say!!!! We loved it. Highway noise although right outside the window not even an issue. We walked to Capital Grille, Fenway (don't miss the tour of Fenway) and even the Lyric Stage and all this in the snow. The North End was a cab ride but who cared. Continental breakfast and parking included. We have finally found a no-brainer, just book it place to stay in Boston after looking for almost 20 years!
- Pros: very clean, very spacious, very historic
- Cons: no elevator
Beautiful Honeymoon

We found the Gryphon House online and were very excited to see the rooms in person that already looked lovely online. We were definitely impressed. We stayed in the Garden Room and it was so romantic and cozy. Perfect! The staff was friendly and the location was great. Center of everything. You only get a continental breakfast but all the choices were good. We know where we'll stay next time!
- Pros: Beautiful room, Location, Clean

In Short
A favorite among visiting B.U. parents and locals in search of a romantic local getaway, the Gryphon contains eight suites. Each one contains a gas log fireplace and modern accoutrements (high-speed Internet access, CD player). Free on-site parking and daily continental breakfast round out the noteworthy features. The inn is located within walking distance of most of Boston's major sights, making it a convenient home base for tourists.
What A Week End

What a great place! We were looking for a get-away to the city and was wanting something different and we found it. The Gryphon House is now our home in the city. I could not believe how big the rooms are (We have stayed in Aerie and Morningside) And how easy it was to settle in, so be prepared to have to decide if you want to go out for dinner or to order in, they have china and tableware in the room. Oh! by the way, a great movie video selection.
- Pros: Free Parking, Next to Newbury St, Great Bathroom
- Cons: The Stairs
