The food was good but the service was mediocre. The girl that waited on my table was unfriendly and never smiled once. I decided to leave just over 10 % percent gratuity because I felt that was all she deserved for the service she provided. The service was not good enough for me to leave her more. After I walked out of the restaurant, she came chasing me down the street. She says that she deserved more tip and that I am requested to leave her more at least 15 % and that she only gets paid $ 2. + an hour. I could not believe the audacity she had to request from me how much I should leave for a tip. I believe you have to work for a good tip and she certainly did not. I hope the manager of this establishments reads this...

This place is great. My wife and I have ordered from Misono for the past 3 years and have enjoyed it. The service is professional, polite, and efficient. The food is delicious and fresh. We have dined in and ordered take-out. Our favorites are the Makimono Trio, the Sushi Deluxe, and the Chirashi sushi. Of course the California roll is a winner too!
Pros: Sushi quality
Cons: None. This place is great!

My girlfriend and I eat here about twice a month and love it. Their sushi is always tasty and their service is good. What I like most about this place is its unpretentious atmosphere. I can go and be as casual or dressed up as I like and it still feels just right. The decor inside is very calm inviting. If you are foodie and looking for a place to eat great sushi, kick back, and enjoy life, this is the place for you. Make sure you bring extra money cause you'll want to order everything off the menu just so you can try it.
Pros: Parking, Atmosphere, Decor, Food, Value
Cons: Running out of Mochi

My wife and I have been to many sushi restaurants in Boston and have not found one where we would go twice. However, after eating at Misono (recomended from my boss), we have been there countless amount of times and EVERY time is just better than the last. I normally dont write reviews, but I just want Boston to know about this place that is just not well known. This restaurant offers the typical california roll, caterpillar roll, etc... and then on top of their extensive sushi list is one other Specials menu that lists about 15 special rolls. I highly recommend their Hurricane and Dynamite Roll. The different sauces and fish combination is just beyond your imagination. They use ingredients from taro (fried asian sweet potato) strings to cilantro to jalapenos to carapccio sauces. I've become a "known" regular now and their workers and chef's are just so easy, satisfying and so comfortable. I highly recommend this place for a date or even with your kids. One night we went and there were many children near their fish pond... kodak moment.
Pros: Sushi, service, atmosphere
Cons: bathroom was small

The lunch at Misnono is great. Their take out bento was well prepared and was set beautifully. The bento I bought had salad with ginger dressing, a special weekly side, salmon terriyaki with broccoli, and shumai. The shumai was crisp on the outside and the salmon didn't taste fishy at all. The Korean barbecue is also good. This deserves two thumbs up
Pros: Good lunch, nice aura
Cons: Pricey, bad dinner, bad sushi

If you are placing an order over the phone, you are risking paying 3+ times more than expected. At least verify the total price. For instance, if you order maki combo, you might have to pay for 30-40 pieces party boat. That just happened to me.
Cons: Cheating for phone orders

If you enjoy watching a true sushi artist, the sushi bar at Misono, where you can enjoy Oshino, the sushi chef, is the place to be. With the tilt of his head, he puts the final touches on your sushi-as-art. We have tried many Boston sushi restaurants and Misono is clearly the best for flavor and presentation. Try the Red Dragon Roll and the Spicy Scallop Trio. Oshinos Naruto is a thin-sliced cucumber roll with salmon, tuna, yellowtail, crabmeat, fish roe, avocado, and spicy mayo. An original. With Oshino as your sushi god, and Chayan as your server, you've been three times blessded.
Pros: Reasonable, easy parking, pleasant
