This doctor is not one to deal with when your face or other exposed part of your anatomy is involved. Her primary training was as an ENT. Any MD or DDS,DMD can take a few courses and hang up a Plastic Surgeon shingle. This lady creates a false sense of security for the patient and then proceeds to "practice" her procedures on unsuspecting victims for a hefty price. I have had 2 different procedures with unsatisfactory results. After consulting with a Board Certified physician, his comments on the results of one of her procedures were basically " who did this to you"? She will only offer lame responses such as "you have no confidence in me" when confronted by a displeased patient. Never her fault nor is there an offer of compensation. ( I would never let her do the procedure again..she can practice on other unsuspecting folks). Make sure you do your homework...look for Board Certified Plastic Surgeons whose schooling has been in the study of Plastic Surgery throughout his/her training...not someone who received a degree in another specialty and got a certificate to mess with your face. Ask docs for photos of patients with before and after and MAKE SURE this doctor actually did the procedure. In fact, ask for names and numbers for patients and CALL THEM!!! Also, ask you primary care physician for his/her recommendation for a qualified PS. Don't rely on some spa who has some doctor come in once a week to administer Botox and fillers unless you have checked them out thoroughly, It is your body, face, nose etc. You deserve to have the best take care of you!!! Buyer beware. Good luck.

i had the best experience. Very knowlegable and explained the whole proceedure and what to expect. Told me how to do aftercare for myself. I was so pleased by the results and would recommend her to anyone interested. The whole staff was pleasant. One of the most comforting and pleasurable experiences. Thrilled by the results.

I did not have a good experience with this doctor. I have reveived fillers before from other doctors...lets just say I did not have a good experience. I was unhappy! Make sure you find out their credentials and how long they have been practicing plastic surgery. Get lots of opinions before getting any procedure done first....Be Careful!!!

My experience with this very gifted plastic and facial surgeon was wonderful..she is kind, compassionate, and talented pure and simple.. yes she may have been running 5 minutes behind!..but to wait for perfection is not a problem when the end result is so fantastic!! It is important to me, as a client of dr petropoulos', to let other potential candidates for this kind of treatment know..there is a shining star in the field she has taken 10 years off of my face with scultpra, botox, and juviderm.I look marhvelous! i travel 2 hours from maine to see her and i would travel 10 if it meant having this kind of care.. my one suggestion to you all is..you've seen the rest...now see the best! 5 stars!Bravo.

Anna Petropoulos convinced me that a "liquid face lift" of Sculptra no negative side effects and would add years of youth to my face. Yes, I wanted to look better and I take full responsibility for retaining her services to inject this product and take full responsibility for failing to research Sculptra prior to my appointment. She injected a large amount of Sculptra under one of my eyes and ran out, so only a small amount was injected, thankfully, under the other eye. I now have 4 significant lumps under one eye that are clearly visible and 2 others under the other eye that are less visible. In despiration, I called the manufacturer of Sculptra. When I spoke with the representatvie at Dermik, she stated that Sculptra is only approved for people with AIDS and is never to be injected in the periorbital region. I have a copy of the package insert that clearly states these restrictions. Apparently, Ms. Petropoulos did not read the insert. According to the manufacturer, these lumps must be surgically removed because they are not the product, but scar tissue from injecting in an area of thin skin. Make the best decision for yourself, but remember a good sales pitch could cost you more than you may want to pay. Also, as a post script, if you are going to have Restylane, an execellent product, check the box before you let anyone inject you. If you do not see a hologram, it is a counterfeit product. I found this out when the lumps from Restylane didn't dissolve in 10-12 months. I sent the end panels that this MD gave me to the manufacturer, it wasn't their product.
Pros: Good with some procedures such as Botox
Cons: Does not take responsibility for her mistakes
