User Reviews for Canine Training Associates

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

From the very first lesson we saw a great change in our very excitable and destructive lab puppy. Jim was patient, with us and our pup, he showed us how to get both an obedient and a disciplined dog. We were concerned about changing her personality and we did but for the better. Our friends trained with him and referred him to us - we are so glad they did. The best part of the lessons is how Jim really worked with us on how to handle properly. He taught in a way that our dog understood (most things took just a few minutes for her to understand). He really did train the trainer. He told us at our first meeting that he did not feel successful with a client unless we were able to handle the dog at the end of the training. We walked out each week, feeling confident and excited already having seen results. The dog not only worked awesome with him but also with us as he promised. She is great and we get compliments everywhere we go. We still can't believe what we accomplished in just 6 lessons with Jim. We recommend dog training with Canine Training Associates to anyone that wants a great trained dog without having to train with a military style trainer (we have heard horror stories from our friends that have had bad experiences with other trainers). His "non-confrontational" approach with lot's of positive reinforcement was just what we were looking for. We also felt what we paid was very reasonable. The private lessons alone were worth the money, the workshops felt like a bonus.

Pros: Great service and instruction

Cons: None
