Completely Overrated, Poor Quality, and Stomach Pain. My husband and I ordered a White Spinach Pizza on whole wheat crust this past Friday night for delivery. Because of food allergies I ordered my half without mozzarella. When we sat down and opened the box the pizza was very thin, dry and looked like an after thought. My half had shriveled pieces of spinach & literally 2-3 tiny pieces of feta cheese on each piece. There was no fresh garlic to be seen on either half. My husbands side had a thin rubbery layer of mozzarella cheese along with the 2-3 small pieces of feta and the shriveled pieces of scattered spinach. Because we had already waited so long we reluctantly ate it since it was already so late. BIG MISTAKE! Both of us had stomach pains within an hour of eating it and had upset for a couple days following. We will NEVER eat there or order for delivery. What a joke that people spend money at this place or that they are called upper crust! Horrible experience!

Frustrating, but well-intentioned.. This stuff is art house pizza. Before you step inside the little eating space, linger outside for a moment. I want you to watch the chefs through the extra-wide window that borders the kitchen. Now enter the restaurant and chill out beneath the pizza platter ceiling and hip, minimal decor. You are cool for being here.

It's easy to dismiss the razor thin slices, brittle crust, and portioned toppings as gimmickry, but the gestalt? Sure, I'm exaggerating, but there really is something special about an Upper Crust Pizza that's straight out of the oven. These are fresh and complex ingredients, carefully applied to a canvas of low-rise dough. But the roller slices both ways - if your pie is more than ten minutes old, it's nigh inedible. Don't order the slice of the day if it's out of the oven; it's too late. There is no affordable way to explore the menu, so you'll just have to time your SOTD right. Even a large plain pizza will ding you three Lincolns and change. The basil tomato mozzarella brings it to $20. So gather your friends, order a decadent pie, and remember to tip the bike messenger delivering it. 'Cause he's cool, too.

Sometimes Excellent Sometime Just OK. Going to Upper Crust can be a great pizza experience, but sometimes it's also a disappointment. The slices at times are large with a generous amount of excellent sauce and great cheese. But sometimes you get a slice that's a bit small with not enough topping on it. The thin crust is always good. The slices are a bit on the pricey side so when they skimp on the sauce and cheese it hurts. But when their slices get it right, they are really good.

Great thin crust pizza. This is the best pizza in Boston as far as I'm concerned. They deliver, have great toppings, etc., but the best part here is the crust. Thin, crispy, and irregular edges that really taste great! I have an account with them since I like them so much, though I don't like the 15% tip they add on to deliveries on account. Who tips a pizza delivery guy 15%?

Great!. Excellent pizza, I really love their basic basil, mozz and tomato! They have a number of locations so it's always easy to find one when in need.

WORST service and only so so pizza - GO ELSEWHERE!. I will never go here again even though I live right down the street! They have mixed up or forgotten so many orders. I show up to pick up my pizza and they had given it away to someone else - they offered NO apology, wanted to give me store credit instead of money back, and said they were too busy to rush me another pizza! The pizza isn't even that good. Not worth the frustration

It doesn't get better than this. The Upper Crust is my absolute favorite place in Coolidge Corner. Everyone knows that their pizza is unbeatable, look in ANY food review source, everyone loves them. What people may not know is the level of dedication they have to their customers. I am their for lunch maybe once or twice a week, the staff is always friendly and always greets me by name, regardless of how busy they are. I've have on more than one occasion seen them run out the door to chase down a customer who has forgotten a belonging, helped mother's with their strollers, and are always willing to take an extra few moments to candidly give their personal menu recommendations. I'll be honest, I love thier pizza, but it's their excellent customer relation skills that will keep me as a loyal customer.

Very good pizza, a bit pricey. Upper Crust is a great name for a pizza place that has a great mix of crispy and chewy crust. High quality eating, but you do pay for it, as it's a bit on the high end, which I suppose should be expected from a place called 'upper crust'. Enjoy

perfect pizza. By far the best pizza in Boston. Their wheat crust pizza is outstanding. The staff is always friendly and helpful. A wide variety of toppings and specialty pizzas. I have never once had a bad exoerience at Upper Crust.
