I love Kennedy's. I'm there every week. I love there food and there bartenders are good people. I miss the comedians they used to have on Monday nights. I'll never go in on a Monday now because they have live music from a one-guy or woman show, which is not entertaining to me what-so-ever. It's definately not a place to go if you wana dance, but more of a start off conversational bar. I can't get enough of the place, it's grrrreat.
- Pros: GOOD DRINKS, FOOD, and BARTENDERS
- Cons: bad entertainment on Monday nights
Needs better entertainment

I've been to Kenendy's a number of times, usually for drinks, occasionally for food. I think the barstaff is great (the waitstaff probably is as well, I wouldn't know), the food is good but maybe a bit overpriced, and I generally have a nice time drinking in there. But I dropped in a couple weeks ago and was driven out after not even and hour by the music. I am sorry, but i can't for the life of me understand why any adult would want to go into a bar and listen to a whiny girl with a guitar and a microphone wail about her tragically-ended relationships and misunderstood childhood. I may have endured this at coffee houses in high school, but now when I'm nursing a pint at the end of the day I'd prefer the music on the jukebox, the sound on the game, or just the sound of silence.
- Pros: Friendly bartenders
- Cons: Whiny girls with guitars
Decent food & place

We went to Kennedy's during the early evening one day after Thanksgiving. The food was great and got to us quickly (we had apps & entrees) but the service was so-so. I think our waitress was really the hostess? I was a little thrown off when we used a coupon and she was supposed to add an 18% tip ... but she added 20% instead. At least *she* thought she was a great waitress! Anyway, I'd definitely recommend. I think it'd be a good after-work drinks spot.
An upscale Irish eating, drinking and mingling emporium in Downtown Crossing.

The Scene
Spanning almost an entire city block, this all-in-one eating and drinking establishment offers something for everyone. Because of its proximity to the financial district, the restaurant attracts a strong lunch crowd, while the bar enjoys a lively after-work scene. The crown jewel in the Somers Pubs family features the same authentic Irish touches found in Hennessy's and the Grand Canal. During the work week, the clientele is made up mostly of professionals and tourists, while the weekends bring in a slightly younger, dance-happy crowd.
The Draw
Few places in the city cover as much ground, figuratively and literally. The restaurant is a dependable spot for large portions of filling tavern fare such as Shepherd's pie and fish and chips. Numerous TVs and an impressive selection of beers, malts and cognacs provide a comfy spot to watch a game or catch up with friends after work.
