Pulled Pork Nachos

It's a nice place to go to for beers and appetizers. I am not a fan of their cocktails. The food is good. I especially like their pulled pork nachos. On Thursday and Fridays, they have free sliders during happy hour. It never gets too crowded so you can converse freely and have some personal space. It's a solid restaurant bar that you can depend on to unwind after work.
An after-work hot spot with a sizzling roof deck in the Financial District.

In Short
The calming water theme--bubble jets fill the spot's glass walls--offsets a frantic environment. Count on shouting over throngs shouting over loud music (provided by a house DJ). Tables and banquettes are first come, first served, and usually in demand. When the weather agrees, the outdoor roof deck proves popular.
I'd think twice before going again!

I went to Aqua on a thursday night. Hanging with friends, looking forward to having a nice time.
Well I have to say, this was a really slow night and a female bartender took forever to wait on me at the bar. When she decided to work, she had a nasty attitude. My drink wasn't great, being the tonic water was flat. When I said soemthing about it, she had an attitude about it and then it took whomever what seemed like a 1/2 hour to change the tank, with no apologies.
This woman was so obnoxious. She wanted to profile more than anything. I really wasn't feeling like leaving her a tip. Finally, she was done working and a guy took over. He was pleasant and professional. I left a tip and I certainly hope he got it cause, Missy didn't deserve it.
If you don't want to give excellent customer service, than you need not work where customer satisfaction is important!
- Pros: Good Music
- Cons: Bad wait staff
My Favorite Boston Hot Spot

Get there early the line can be long, and sometimes they have a cover. As a whole this is my favorite hotspot in Boston. The crowd is attractive and trendy, young, but not college kids. Its not as pretentious as some of the other spots in Boston. Great drinks, quick service. Also great for the afterwork crowd all the financial district folks can be found at Aqua on a Friday night, powersuits and all. Overall great spot. Highly recommend, although I've heard all about this roof deck, but have yet to actually confirm its existence!
- Pros: Crowd, Music, Atmosphere
- Cons: Cover, Late night lines, what roof deck?
Maybe the worst bar in Boston

Aqua attempts to be an IT place, but struggles in its effort to be a restaurant, a bar, and a club. The cyclic bar causes a patron to feel as if one is on a merry-go-round surrounding by sweaty meatheads. The ambiance does nothing to promote an aquatic feel; although, it does do a good job of looking cheesy. The service is deplorable featuring unknowledgeable bar staff and extremely rude door attendants. I have been around the globe and they have to be the worst I have ever encountered. If this establishment does not address these problems quickly, the competition in Boston will cause this ship to sink.
- Pros: None, None, None
- Cons: , Ugly, Expensive
Reconsider

My best friend organized a b-day party at Aqua. Upon arrival, the doormen refused admission to all of us(including the b-day girl) because one person's liscence was newly expired. This was after my out-of-state liscence which was also expired was deemed accepteable. The doormen were rude, inconsiderate and succeeded in doing nothing more than lose the bar a substantial amount of buisness. If this were to happen in NYC of South Beach, it would be one thing, but for an over-priced Boston bar, there is no excuse to allow such behaviour
- Cons: expensive, rude doormen, attitude

Aqua is a great place. The atmosphere is funky and trendy. But when you go with some friends to celebrate a birthday and you end up getting asked to leave your tables for some sucky Bruins players, it is rude. We had been there since 6pm and at 10:30 we were asked to vacate the table. They never even apologized.

There is always that one bar, and you hate to be called a regular, but the service is great, the people are sexy, and the doormen rock, so you're a regular! This place has "IT". Always a good time on the weekends and a great place for after work drinks if you are looking to sit comfortably with a vodka and soda. A must.
- Pros: parking avail. - late, yummy men, fun people
- Cons: can be crowded, sometimes a line

Aqua is the first great bar I've seen in a while. The crowd is eclectic and interesting. The music is upbeat and hits every sensibility. The service is absolutely outstanding. I have never had to search out a waitress. The space is even -- there's plenty of room between the walls and the bar itself.
- Pros: Outstanding service, Great space, Fabulous music
