hotties can be found here, altho there are better places nearby. get there early, cause by 1 the sugar shack is nothing but ugly. the music at the sugar shack is loud and bad, but if you can get your groove on, you can dance up a hottie or two and split early. they play better grooves at the big easy, but it takes a while to get going, so plan to stay until 2 if u wanna meet somebody. overall, not the best places in town, but workable.

um, have they ever been to bourbon street? lame comparison... they can brag when they actually have good drinks and attractive people... right now it's dull and mook-central.

The entire alley is owned by one corporation which caters to one crowd of late-twenties yuppies trying to relive their glory days as college jocks. All the women looked anorexic and all the guys looked like the had been in shape five or ten years ago. I felt threatened and uncomfortable the entire time I was there. It was both corporate/bland and sleazy/menacing at the same time. When you go to the bathroom in Sweetwater's, notice that they haven't really finished it-- most of the walls are still exposed plywood. This has the feel of being on a set. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

You can't beat the Alley! There is something here for eveyone. We just threw a bachlorette party at the Big Easy and went over to the Sugar Shack during the night. I really like how those two clubs are connected. Always a great time to party here!!

Boston's Alley zeros in on 4 different bar/club scenes...Bishops: a great place to start off your night...friendly atmosphere, cozy bar. Sweetwater: outside patio in the summer is the best bonus at this joint. They also have live music downstairs...an extremely inviting bar scene. Sugar Shack: a smaller than average club with bigger than average fun! The Big Easy: my personal favorite! Dance to live music...on stage! Meet all types of people who are out for a great night. I am never disappointed here! The Alley has something for everyone! Definitely check it out!

It's the atmosphere that does it, I think. There are some places that are just sleazy. There are others; bastions of superficiality where the beautiful people muster themselves. These things, these clubs are not. You want to have some fun with your friends after work? Maybe on a Saturday night? Want to be in an environment conducive to the presence of people that are actually tolerable to engage in conversation? Look no further, friend. Relaxed, friendly, fun and economical, The Alley clubs epitomize what every other Boston club should aspire to be. Plus, the drinks are cheap and Dimitra works there.

Pros: Staff, Music, Guest List

The alley Is the best place in the world. Better than Ibiza, Miami, or sunset strip. The staff is what makes it great. The Female staff have all modelled in major fashion magazines or have up and coming careers, and the male staff is made up of personal trainers and local models looking for weekend fun. The management takes special care to make sure all female patrons are properly cared for and catered to inside the club. The bartenders all fix strong drinks and pay close attention to heavy tpping patrons without overlooking the cheaper individuals.

Pros: Cheap, Fun, Attractive people

Cons: only open till 2 am, too much to see, too many options

Who would have thought? The Alley is cool because it gives you variety... not like Fanueil Hall, where it is the same bar over and over with a different name... or Boylston Street... with all the restaurants trying too hard to be clubs! At least the Alley has variety.. from patios to pubs to food to hip hop and cover bands!!!!!!!!! AND the best tasting Frozen Margaritas in Sweetwater!

Pros: fun, dancing, patios
