Some people love this atmosphere. I don't happen to be one of them. There is definitely a haughtiness and snobbery. Whenever I've gone in dressed semi expensively I get incredible amount of smiles and attention, a little more than I care to have. Other times I can go in with whatever I just threw on and be completely ignored, even when trying to ask a question. They are quite obtuse in there! But the area has tons of patrons who just eat that stuff up so I'm sure they will do well. Let's face it, it takes all kinds. The clothes aren't my taste so it's no great loss. I also get tons of compliments on my clothes...just not from there.

I was a consigner at The Finer Consigner – they lost 2 items and said they must have been donated early - I was not offered compensation and the "lost" pants were expensive. The prices are ridiculously over-priced, I have gotten the same merchandise at Marshall's for 30% less and it's NEW! The employees are rude, pushy and intimidating. A bad experience over-all for me.
Pros: Designer Mechandise and High-End Bags
Cons: Staff and Prices

I don't know what I would wear if it wasn't for this wonderful store--not as much D&G, that's for sure. I visit the Finer Consigner every season religiously and completely outfit myself. Whenever someone compliments my clothes, shoes, or bag, they are invariably noticing something I bought there. My best friend (a fashionista) travels in from NYC (!) to shop here as well. I couldn't disagree more with the negative reviewer--Amy and the other women at the store are awesome. They remember everything about me, including my taste. Seeing them is one of the fun things about shopping. But the clothes are to die for.
Pros: Gorgeous clothes, reasonable prices
Cons: I always buy more than I planned...

All I have to say is that they "lost" my clothing. I went back to retrieve my unsold items and very little effort was put into the search. I had to go through every rack myself. Instead of an apology (which one would think is justified) I was told that my 2 items must have been stolen. I find all of the woman to be snobs. I refuse to have to flaunt my money or jewels in front of their face to prove that I can shop. I'd rather pay full price from a reputable business that is run by genuine people.
Cons: poor customer service, unfriendly

This shop is gem! Judi and Amy, the owners, are wonderful. They are patient, funny and more importantly have exquisite taste. If something doesn't fit, they will tell you. The Finer Consigner is where you can find Channel, Tod, Prada, Fendi, Marc Jacob, Seven Jeans..... and the list goes on and on... at a fraction of the cost you would pay at a store.. even on sale! If you love the finer things in life, enjoy chatting with real women about real issues, and don't want to pay full price, The Finer Consigner is for you. If you want to unload your 5 year old Coach Bags, used shoes and sweat stained dresses... this is not the place for you.
Pros: Great Clothes, Good Prices, Talented Sales Help
Cons: Parking, No men's

This is the best consignment shop in the Boston Area. The service is wonderful, and the workers are always willing to interact with their customers. The clothes are really lovely, and a they carry very high end designers at a great value. There is a whole lot of variety, everything from a pair of blue jeans, to fur coats and St. Johns. The workers give customers their undivided attention, and are very cheerful. Highly recommended.
Pros: clothes, value, service
Cons: not open on mondays
