National chain rustles up rib eyes, T-bones and fillets in a kid-friendly, Lone Star-inspired setting.

In Short
One of the country's most successful steakhouse empires attracts a casual crowd with huge, reasonably priced steak dinners and a tempered Texan milieu (country music and imposing cattle busts). Wise diners turn off their internal calorie counters, as many menu items arrive fried, covered in cheese, or both. A typically rich meal starts with cheese fries, followed by a blue cheese-crusted fillet. Fried cheesecake ends the night on a note of Texas-sized decadence.
Not bad for a suburban steakhouse

Meat was plentiful and medium rare was on. Most places outside of the city tend to overcook. Good party and social scene. Will visit again.

Not Bad for Franklin

I didn't know what to expect walking into this restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised when my filet was actually cooked perfectly, with great trimmings. Their wine selection was limited, but what they did have worked well with our order. It was crowded, but not too noisy. Its not as dark as the Outback, and the meat seems to be much leaner. This a great place for big parties, or for kids. The waitstaff is pretty nice as well.
Good BEEF Charlie Brown.

I like it. Good service too. Try it for yourself. They are hurting Outback. Burgers are the about the best around, and a great price.
- Cons: crowded
